what are your favorite 2d adventure, rpg, platformers, etc. the choppy 3d graphics on most ds games dont entice me at all, i'd rather have colorful, detailed pixelized graphics like the kirby games lol. so go on, RECOMMEND!

One of the best 2D games on DS is Knights in the Nightmare.
There's also Castlevania, Chrono Trigger, Kirby, Megaman, Bleach, Yoshi's Island DS, Henry Hatsworth, Jump! Ultimate Stars, Contra 4, Metal Slug 7, and The World Ends With You. Plus a bunch of other stuff I can't think of right now.

If you're looking for a real ballbuster and a real hidden game trying Chronos Twin. The translation is kinda shit for English, the story is meh and the graphics are about SNES-quality but dammit all to hell it's an interesting concept. You control two characters at once (one on each screen) and you have to constantly make sure that you can overcome obstacles on both screens. It's really challenging and a lot of fun if you're into it.

Zombie BBQ has some 3D graphics (mainly for boss fights) but most of it is 2-D sprites. A very funny shmup, to say the least.

    +1 Chronos Twin

It's a genuine challenge, and I've not seen it done before.
