Seriously, when I look at "most anticipated 2010 DS" lists, the only titles that make me somewhat interested are SoulSilver and Okamiden.

Am I the only one with the feeling that we'll get maybe one good DS game per month and the rest will be shovelware?

Owow, I'm dumb, my bad.

Um, there's Infinite Space, Okamiden, Pokemon (in English), and not much else.

The DS is nearing the end of its lifespan, so yeah, it's a mediocre year.

I can't really imagine a worse year for the DS than last year, but yeah now that you mention it, 2010 doesn't have many anticipated games on my radar. Just NMH2, but that's Wii.

wow another thread shitting on the ds, oh yeah I'm sure you have a crystal ball predicting not only whether the announced '10 titles are worth anticipating, not only know of the massive glut of unannounced titles, but know which of THOSE titles are worth anticipating. I see this thread every year for every system. This thread is nothing but feeding grounds for anti nintendo fanboys

Can you please point to a single occasion in the history of videogames where every single good game was announced the year before ? How is this your litmus test ?

The entire definition of anticipation is based on prediction. How can you anticipate something after it comes out?

I'm looking forward to Rune Factory 3. I realise it hasn't been given an official US release date yet. I'm just gonna guess some time this year and remain optimistic. The JP release seemed good from what I tried.

Ghost Trick
Okamiden
Pokemon
Golden Sun DS
Sands of Destruction
Glory of Heracles
Dragon Ball DS 2
Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney Investigations
Ragnarok DS
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Mugen no Frontier EXCEED

These are just some games I thought were notable from GameFAQs.

If this happens, I will be a very very happy person.

Dragon Ball DS is the only game I'm really looking forward to at all, and really only because I like the license. The engine for that game looks really good, but the gameplay, kind of meh.

Last year wasn't exactly steller to be honest, a lot of the games I thought would be great turned out to get boring after a bit. We probably had on average one good game a month with only 4-5 that would be worth playing a few years later.

I want Okamiden, Infinite Space, Wario Ware D.I.Y, Picross 3D and Project Monster and thats about it, other then those two I am only mildly interested in a few other games. I would be excited for Shantae but unless hackers figure a way to get DSiWare to work on regular DS's or we can emulate them I dont see me playing it.

Oddly despite really liking Dementium, I can't say I'm excited for the sequel. Hopefully we'll see some more games announced soon.

I think its time for a new Ninty handheld, it can't be right that I'm more interested in 2010's PSP games than DS.

EDIT: Oh yeah Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney Investigations.

Hotel Dusk 2 (if it's coming to the West in 2010)
Golden Sun
Dragon Quest VI
Shin megami Tensei Strange Journey
New Suzak's project (it can be a F-zero game)
Pokemon Heart Gold
Glory of Heracles
Ace Attorney Investigations : Miles Edgeworth
Dragon Quest IX
Ragnarok
Blue Dragon : Awakened Shadow
Infinite Space
Sands of destruction
Luminous Arc 3 : Eyes
Okamiden
Again: Eyes of Providence
Lufia DS
Professor Layton and the Last Time Travel
WarioWare D.I.Y.
Ghost Trick
Picross 3D
Project Monster
Shantae: Risky's Revenge
Sonic Sega All Stars Racing
Spectral Force : Genesis
Dementium II
Shepherd's Crossing 2
Sonic Classic Collection

Dude...it's just the 2nd day of January and you're already assuming this will be the worst year for the DS? That's just stupid. :|

Seriously. THE YEAR JUST STARTED.
And 09 had some really good games, thankyouverymuch.
(FFCC Echoes of Time, and once you get an hour or so in to it, Kingdom Hearts.)
