Maybe your something is up with your sd card reader caz even I'd you had an unassigned sd card it would still show up in Rufus hit on where it says format options you would get some more option that you can use but you shouldn't need it but if you do it's there

Switch saves all larger files in 2gb splits so FAT32 is perfectly fine, even if you use exfat the files will still be split.

If you have a exfat card and you don't have the exfat patch you will need to use FAT32 regardless of CFW

exFAT. If you format fat32 now you could still backup your NAND if you'd like. It will save you a step later. Or you could wait for CFW release which will likely have everything built in and can use exFAT out of the gate.
