Hello comunity,
Today I followed this guide

But when I get to about 9:39 through the video, I am greeted with this message 'A9LH detected! Brick avoided!!
please install B9S with SafeB9SInstaller! '
But SafeB9SInstaller in not working.
Any suggestions ASAP would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Forgot to mention that I did a factory reset on my 3DS but of course that did not remove A9LH.

Thought I'd mention I do have access to the Homebrew Launcher through Steel Diver Sub Wars entry point.

CFW (in the common 3DS definition of the word) is not "installed", an entrypoint (such as B9S or A9LH) loads it directly from a file (in typical setups)
I don't understand. I am new to this...

If you do indeed have A9LH installed, your console will try to run the "arm9loaderhax.bin" file from the root of the SD card

So simply download Luma 7.0 (the last A9LH version) and extract its arm9loaderhax.bin file to the root of the SD card; from there you will be ready to perform the above linked "A9LH to B9S" instructions

And reason u want to remove CFW is?
Becasue I ran a uninstall script in an earlier version (11.6) because the cfw was really not working properly so I was going to reinstall it, but I couldn't because I needed to get to the eshop. But I couln't so I had to update, and here I am now. I should have fixed the cfw when I had it but at the time I thought I could easily reinstall cfw. Big mistake of mine.

First you should update from A9LH to B9S with this freaking guide.
Then uninstalling with this other guide.

I dunno why would you want to uninstall CFW, but your console is more safe with B9S because you can recover from bricks. Whatever… if you want to do it, consider that if you're so new to this, you should leave it how it is right now.

Then there isn't a reason at all to remove it just to the a9lh to b9s steps on the site I gave u

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
