Homebrew 11.10.0-43E Homebrew problems

I hacked mine and a freind's 3ds and now I'm trying to do somebody else's but with the latest update.

I use the 3dshacks guide... and after searching for an otherapp payload that works with the newest update, I found a link on these boards to some discord thing.

My problem is that when the guide tells me to "open Homebrew using any method", I cannot. I had trouble with this when I first hacked my 3DS because I didn't know holding SELECT button when turning the power on launches Homebrew, but it won't work now!

I cannot get Homebrew to start up so I cannot complete the hack. Any help?

Holding select when booting only works AFTER it is hacked already...

Try down and select whilst in download play app? For rosalina menu.

1. Copy frogcert.bin to the root of your SD card
2. Reinsert your SD card into your device
3. Power on your device

Section II - Patching DS Download Play

1. Open the Homebrew Launcher using any method
2. Launch Frogtool from the list of homebrew
3. Select the “INJECT patched DS Download Play” option

I can't launch frogtool because I can't get Homebrew to start. Both times before, I held SELECT as I powered up the 3DS... I don't know what's going wrong this time.

What method are you using to hack the 3ds steelhax or fredhax using a compatible dsi Ware title?

Steelhax via Steel Diver (or whatever it's called).

I'm doing it this way as it's how I did it before.

So what happens when you launch steel diver? If you have set everything up correctly then the homebrew launcher should boot when you try to load steel diver.

Also did you accidentally install the steel diver update. If so that is why the homebrew launcher is not working. So just go to data management in sys settings and remove the update to get steel hax working.

UPDATE: I re-read a comment by QuantumCat (THANKS), which tells me to open Steel Diver to launch Homebrew.

It worked this way!!! Problem solved.

Edit: thanks for the post! I was too busy finding QuantumCat's advice that I used last time to notice it, but it is greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: I re-read a comment by QuantumCat (THANKS), which tells me to open Steel Diver to launch Homebrew.

It worked this way!!! Problem solved.

Isn't that what I said above lol.

EDIT: Ninja'd. Oh well.

When the guide says "Open the Homebrew Launcher using any method", that typically means launching Steel Diver (with steelhax).

If you can't access the Homebrew Launcher with Steel Diver, then you may have done something incorrectly. See https://3ds.eiphax.tech/issues.html .
