Who positions their army at the bottom of an enclosed hill, doubly so when the top of that hill is a very narrow passage? I guess if your opponent has no ranged units and is stupid enough to waddle off cliffs and have no great path finding but wow that is some poor battle planning.

They had to set it up this way to even the odds, because the Santas are bigger, stronger and armed, and penguins are, well, penguins.
