So I was trying some stuff out and accidentally updated my sysNAND to 10.7 without a9lh (cloned emuNAND to sysNAND and vice versa), and now i am unable to launch FBI or HBL as it says i need to redownload it at the e-shop. I plugged my 3ds into my computer for the hard mod downgrade method, and i keep getting an output of a NAND.img file. My question is, how do i convert this to a .bin file to use plaitects hardmod downgrade method and also why I lost a9lh upon cloning to sysNAND? Thanks a lot.

P.S, if it helps at all I have a formatted emuNAND backup, a pre-a9lh backup, and a sysNAND backup (on 9.2)

You can't as far as I'm aware. You would need to downgrade your sys nand via CN or the Zelda exploit.

Actually you can, because it's using the same core as 10.4

There is still the option for softmod downgrade using OoT or CN. But if you have a hardmod, the 10.4 method will still work.

and can you tell us how can we run the downgrader or the hbl ?
the 10.7 has no entrypoint to run hax to downgrade right now , since this methode only downgrade the firm and not the browser

hhhh , did you even read the msg?
i know about oot and cubic , but what's the benefit of hardmoding and using one of thopse card games?!!!
the point is instead of hardmoding and risk of bricking/damaging the board , just use the sysupdater and downgrade ..too easy

I think you're forgetting that if you ever happen to brick, you can save it unlike sysupdater and downgrading though that. Another benefit is that it's less stressful and you can mess with your system more and try out new releases or projects without worrying about a brick so a hardmod is still a good thing to have.

Ya I did read the message I quoted. you didn't Didn't say anything about either of them. You asked how to downgrade or get into hbl. I'm going to assume English isn't your first language as your posts are hard to read.

you are right , english isn't my first language , but i think dg_dex said it isn't possible to downgrade without those card games , but the nest person denied it and suggested the hardmod methode

i haven't seen anyone bricking his 3ds using the latest sysupdater , but i have seen many user kill their machines trying to hardmod , and i think if we need to experience things , it should be on an exploitable firm (9.2 for exemple since higher ones don't allow access to arm9)

Sysupdater doesn't have a 100% chance of not bricking. The chance is still there for anyone who tries. And I know about 9.2. I already have a9lh running on my system. What I meant by "experiencing things" was like when the process of a9lh was being streamlined. When OTPHelper first came out, do you know who were the people that got first crack at it? The people hardmoded, so they could test and actually help out development. You can't get that through a non-hardmoded 3ds and if you did, you were stupid b/c why in your right mind would you want to do that? And it's still possible to brick on a9lh if you're changing forks or really being stupid with Godmode9.

I fixed it now anyways, I was not aware you could flash old backups without bricking it, so i flashed my 9.2 sysNAND back on and I'm back on emuNAND. Thanks for the tips though!
