Now I'm kinda frightened for what Nintendo's got in store... Come on, it's been HOW LONG since NH2.0? and they still haven't patched a thing...
*adjusts tinfoil hat*
Maybe they do have a block in place on the newer firmwares, but it'll only become active after so much time of system use. So people will update, thinking it's safe.

Because sky3ds does not have emunand so nobody cares

It could have been blocked by some rare chance. lol
But anyway, it was just funny since even in the last update, some ppl still asked. But this time I didn't see a single person asking

Funny how no one even asked about Sky. lol
All the concerns are about GW, CFWs and homebrew
According to the 3ds-flashcard.com website all flashcards that use to work before the update still work.
This includes Sky3DS.

It will still alive until Nintendo discovers a difference between Sky and real retail cart.

They didn't even mention that GW users shouldn't update since emunand support has issues with the new firmware.

Nintendo kinda fixed that by adding the new anti-piracy check on Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and other new games.

They're probably just trying to sell more overpriced Sky3DS/DS cards and less of the cheaper Gateway cards.

But this is not a system fix.
It could only prevent the users playing specific games on Sky but not existed old-encrypted games.

Well 2 games. AC HHD and Fire Emblem IF...and those are the Japanese versions.

Not defending Sky, but do want to be clear on what is or isn't blocked. In recent weeks Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX, LBX - Little Battlers eXperience, and Etrian Odyssey 2 have all been supported on the Sky. It's the only option if you're over Firmware 9.2, and the anti piracy measures on those two titles do not prevent the cart itself from working with other titles.

Nobody's asking about Sky because it's not likely that Nintendo will bother patching Sky. If they're doing anything at all, it's adding the new antipiracy stuff like Fire Emblem: If has.

Well i was reading about work on arm11 kernel code execution in progress for 9.9/10.0 but this may break it, but its just potential and i think there is work to be done... its not there yet
