Wow that isn't cool. I bet they put the fake killer back on it, so clones stay away from this.
At least we know they're not dead, they're just lazy.

So they just took the unofficial kernel, put their fake-killer on it, and call it their own?

Not sure if they put in the fake killer, but ya, they took it and called it their "refixed" version of 1.17.

Wow so lame. These fags probably will never update because of the following reasons.

1st. a0 team updates for them
2nd. There firmware could be used on like 3 different cards(R4, Acekard, Supercard) plus all the R4 clones.

Oh wow, that's a serious foul on their part if they didn't at least ask permission from the guys who wrote the a07 version.

Well they can't really ask the people who wrote the a07 because no1 knows who they are, but it's still bad that they stole it

I wonder if the guys who 'wrote' the a07 version asked the DSTT team for permission to modify and redistribute their firmware?

They probably attempted to, Depravo, but like anyone else who attempts to contact the DSTT team, they most likely didn't receive a response.

@stanleyopar2000 contact link at the bottom of the page. As someone not an admin, but working with GDPR, what is the problem about
  • lwiz @ lwiz:
(As the GDPR mostly concerns storing personal information and it's handlingthe usual solution is deletion of the said account and all the personal data. If said person wants to get posts wiped, then (unless personal data that can be used in identification is revealed) nonissua whereas GDPR is concerned. Tough luck, what appears in the interwebz stays on the interwebz.
  • lwiz @ lwiz:
Content in threads fall into what's called "collaborative creation" and there are no European copyright laws (GDPR does definitely not apply, except in circumstances above) that give someone right to ask deletion of his/hers/its earlier postings. Administrators can do that, if they are nice anough and are asked nicely enough. You cant make demands.
  • lwiz @ lwiz:
(Not a lawyer, but had to study copyright laws under my curriculum and have to be sure the certain
things I administer are GDPR compliant)

Does GBATemp have the usual "This website uses cookies" blurb popup?
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
It has the do not show again option which usually works
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
You can either accept or reject cookies.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Most websites usually has cookies.
  • lwiz @ lwiz:
Then really only other thing I can imagine is that "Deleted User XXXXXX" still shows the sig with personal website/gamer profile or whatever, but I'd think sigs are disabled anyway for deleted users
  • lwiz @ lwiz:
Couple of ones I do run don't have the blurb, as we only run domain local cookies for keeping login data etc. (no google or whatever) and those are legal under GDPR without any extra notification.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
I assume they just have whatever cloudflare has
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@lwiz, When accounts get banned, email address and everything else is still logged, but not for deleted users (except for their profile picture and banner if they have one.)
  • lwiz @ lwiz:
^this might be an issue, although keeping the details for preventing further misuse probably falls in to the fair use clauses
