Hacking 1.08 Cheats (updates)

Hello Everyone,

I just have a problem when I apply cheat mode on Need for Speed Carbon - Own The City (U) (No trim). The game freeze when loading. I wonder is anyone have the same problem?? Thank youÂ

PS. I also tried out on E version (No trim). Again, with the same reult...

I forget to added that this game is also in the compatibility list.

i only get that error when using the max/infinite points cheat.

My problem is comfirm then. I guess I just spot another problem on cheat mode

I found a code online for infinite bullet bill on wif in MKDS. I Made an empty cheat.dat file, and added the code in my usrcheat.dat file. It worked pretty well. (It can't find the usrcheat.dat if the Cheat.dat already has the codes for the same game.)

It seems that the code database can have duplicate titles in it, and obviously, the R4 cheat system detects game id's, so it's possible to have an all regions in one db. Here's mine. It contains every game and code for all regions from codejunkies...

Also, someone was wanting the ARDS software with the drivers. Here's an ISO I made with the latest ARDS code manager software integrated...

For some reason, there is no cheat sub-menu for the game Theme Park. Has anyone else managed to get the code to work with Theme Park?

When I replace my usrcheat.dat file with updated codes it still shows the original codes when I boot my R4 up. And I have created a 0kb CHEAT.bat file and it still does the same thing what am I doing wrong?

You need a cheat.DAT file not bat.

Does anyone know if there are any codes for Yoshi Touch & Go (either US or EUR release)? I tried searching various forums and with google for action replay, dipstar, emucheat and golden finger codes for it but came up empty - thus I am thinking they don't exist but you never know.

I did see a post here that the DSLink cheat was supposed to include cheats for it. I haven't been able to find any additonal information on what cheats are included with it but I would imagine if it did, if they are not direct action replay format it wouldn't be too difficult to conver to ARDS format by comparing the codes for a game that ARDS codes already exist for to see how they memory offsets are changed.

EDIT: I found a site with a bunch of Codebreaker DS codes and they do have codes for Yoshi Touch & Go (as well as other games that there are no ARDS codes for) - now to find a way to convert them (so far searches have come up empty) - so there may be a way!

I did a quick test of the first two (haven't played the game before) and they work. I used the cheat editor to add them - so I can verify, at least the first two, codes work. Since Datel does not codes for this game I figured I would pass them along.

If you are using windows, I assume you can just use notepad and create a blank file called cheat.dat (make sure there is no.txt extension at the end of that). It should create a 0 byte file - then copy that over your current cheat.dat.

Thanks xbman. I used Notepad to open the cheat.dat and the R4 DS editor did actually save property except it says "open" after I clicked on save. Anyhow, like you suggested, I used Notepad to create a blank file.
