Hacking Wii System Menu 4.0 update WITH softmod

You SHOULD NOT be able to install cioscorp again, but I haven´t tested it by myself, so I can´t be sure about that. what CIOScorp does is patching the sysmenu IOS, to read backups, and then patch all other ioses to do the same. Sysmenu 4.0 uses iso 60 I think, and CIOScorp doesn´t patch that...

Hacking Wii System Menu 4.0 update WITH softmod

Yes, it is really that simple. Nintendo wants to block NEW users from using homebrew, they don't care about the ones who are already using it. Thus there are no measures taked against an ALREADY installed homebrew channel or cIOS.

Hacking Wii System Menu 4.0 update WITH softmod

You can dowgrade back to 3.2, but then you lose your ability to play games from an SD-card. This is a function of system menu 4.0, and when you go back to 3.2, there isn't such funcionality.

    Hacking System Menu questions/thoughts

About the preloader 0.25, you can apply and add your own patches to the system menu with it, so if we find out how menupatcher or menurebooter patches the sysmenu to use IOS 249 and forces games to use IOS 249. We can then just install CIOS 249 and set the patch in preloader 0.25.

When the last update was done, my Wii hanged at a black screen for 5 minutes. Then I turned it off. When I tried to turn it on again, I couldn't seen anything on...

    Hacking '3x' drive speed.

No, pre-rendered movies don't stutter. And when I come close to my Wii I hear that it is spinning at 3x and not 6x

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
