Yeah, have heard that, will probably connect up when I get home and cross my fingers. From a few other forums it looks as though not many brits have been hit so I may be lucky.
Here's hoping!
Gutting!
Heres hoping its not an issue with the stealth, could be issues of people playing games weeks before they are due out anywhere. The most recent case being Mass Effect which came out on the scene almost a month before it came out.
Fingers crossed!
I was hoping they'd come up with an all new Wiimote for shooters......... instead of having to connect the current one as no matter how cost effective it may be it kind of limits the games.......... why can't they just bring out a normal gun so I can play the shoot em ups like the good ol time...
Was quite looking forward to some good ol gore but spose I'll have to go out and actually kill people now to see what it looks like.......... shame
lol
I've never played my Wii online so doesn't really matter for me. Am just burning it now and then gonna chuck it on, thank god its a Band Holiday 2moz!!
Haven't seen much on what peeps think of the game, spose they're 2busy playin it Will report bk in the mrn and give my 2cents!
Virgin Media...... was 10Gb but have been rolling out 20Gb upgrades over the past few months. My Usenet server has gone from around 1200Kb/s to 2400Kb/s so I take it the upgrade has hit me Very pricey though, £37 a month........ is split by 3 of us though so well worth it!
Followed the advice from Newshosting and changed the port to 7000........... am now getting over 800Kbs Chuffed!
Thanks for the help guys. Might stick with this for a while and then see if Giganews is worth it in the future.
Hope it helps you game07!
Newshosting got straight back to me and suggested a change of port. Will try it as soon as I get home though can't understand how this can suddenly become an issue when i've been using it for well over a year
I have 8 connections running. If I'm capped though how come I can still download at 900+ from the gamefiles.virginmedia site?
Plus, its my understanding that they don't cap unless you download over 3Gb between 4 and 12. I hadnt used the net at all before I tried this.
I know how to change the port, think its set somewhere within the 100 region at the minute (can't check cus I'm not at home).
Will change it when I get back and see if that helps.
Have also dropped Newshosting an email to see what they think.
I've just looked at Giganews and it seems a little...
I'm with Newshosting. Will have a look at Giganews.
Virgin cap you if you download more than 3Gb between 4 & 12........ as this is the first time I've used it today I know I haven't been capped. Also, I can still download from other sites at around 1Mb but just not through Newsleecher...
Hey guys,
I've been using Newsgroups for well over a year now and used to get around 450Kb/s on a 4Mb connection. The speed started to drop recently though thought nothing of it and after upgrading to a 10Mb the speed seems to have dropped down even more!
If I download from VirginMedias...
I've got both 2 though am always on the 360. The PS3 is too little too late, can't think of one game thats worth buying it for at the minute.
Resistance was a big let down
And XBL is amazing once you get into it (Gears of War got me hooked!) sucks having to pay but the flawless service...
If I installed this GlovePIE does it actually overwrite anything on the Wiimote. May sound a bit of a stupid question but I want to be sure of it before I have a go. Thanks for designing the code too, I'm sure it will come in handy many times for me!
Also, could you recommend a good...
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
