    Am I missing a step? I install an eShop game nsp through this, it appears on my main menu and when I try to launch it it tells me I need to own the software to play it and points me to the eShop. Maybe being stupid, I'm very tired

    Hacking Staying on low firmware is pointless now?

    I don't care about coldboot, I'll update if and when it's confirmed that newer firmware has softwarehax - on 4.1.0 at the moment. Just a waiting game but I imagine we've have a clearer picture (if not actual answers) when Atmosphere releases.

    I would recommend Playmods. Very cheap compared to other places and my Gateway arrived within a week. I got a faulty red card and was worried about getting it replaced, but they were really quick to communicate and sent the replacement out the day after I emailed them, no questions and no fuss...

    Playmods got back to me already and are offering to send out a new red card as soon as I can give them a tracking number for the return of this one. Definitely impressed with their service at least, will report back when I get a working card!

    Ah, of course. To be honest, I don't want to gamble all my retail game saves on downgrading when it seems likely that it's a hardware fault at this point - I'll wait and see what Playmods say first unless anyone can confirm that this has solved the same problem for them. Thanks, though :)

    They're longer than the rest, yep. Tried putting pressure on the cart, no difference at all. I've cleaned the pins with rubbing alcohol as a last resort, will see how that goes. Bah, going to be a pain in the arse waiting for it to go back to Cyprus, get tested, then get a new one :(
