i'm running a dd-wrt setup. it works fine, but after a few hours the crons just seem to.. stop running. no more streetpasses.
if i go to the ip and manually disable/enable cron, it works again fine. anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
i had to do a reset on my modem, and now i'm no longer getting passes. it's not detecting a nintendozone, though i can connect to the wifi (attwifi) manually without a problem
i can ssh in and it can dns stuff fine; /tmp/nzone.macs is filled, etc
any suggestions?
worked fine after upgrading to the new firmware, thanks all
valkart my setup is as follows
modem/router combo box from isp (192.168.1.254) --> dd-wrt router (192.168.1.253)
make sure any computers connecting via ethernet are in the dd-wrt router not the combo box. make sure to disable dhcp...
anyone have any tips on getting ssh to work correctly on dd-wrt? everything else works fine just tired of using putty

in the v3 dd-wrt script how do i change how often it goes off / changes a mac? (i'm aware you said it changes based on how many macs are in your list, but this is too often for my tastes) thanks!
there are two very easy ways they could prevent homepass:
1) use an IP whitelist. only official nintendozone ip's could send relay signals to their servers. people having dynamic IPs at home wouldn't matter since they wouldn't be on the whitelist
2) check ARIN information for each IP-- throw...
i can manually change my mac via my dd-wrt router and get streetpasses fine however the run seems not to run. the firmware is
firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/25/13) std
is this the "micro" one? if that's not the issue, what could be causing it?
also, you may want to upgrade the guide to...
anyone willing to help with some networking/routing issues? this is my setup, wondering what the ideal way to configure this is..

i'm currently using the wifitether app on my rooted android phone. it's worked once, but hasn't since then. the app notified me that the 3ds connected to it the one time it worked, but i've never recieved that notification since then
any clue what could be wrong?
some more questions:
are all of the mac addresses listed "fake"? as in, only used by people here? can you connect to "real" mac addresses and get streetpasses that you would normally get by visiting that physical location?
if the answer is yes, does anyone have any android apps to suggest to...
my rooted android phone is broadcasting with ssid attwifi with mac address 4e:53:50:4f:4f:46 but i haven't gotten a single streetpass still :|
(at least, i am assuming it is doing the above. the readout from busybox is as follows:
..
14: eth0 <NO-CARRIER, BROADCAST, UP, LOWER_UP> mtu 1500...
what would cause this, other than not being rooted? i can confirm 100% that the phone is rooted.
i unfortunately can't actually easily check what mac is actually being broadcast since my windows pc doesn't have a wireless card
running a hotspot on my android phone at 4E:53:50:4F:4F:46 with attwifi for the ssid, but haven't gotten a streetpass. any idea what i could be doing wrong / how long it might take?
