Wow... so much misinformation flying around on this Sega restructuring story. This reminds me how every year Capcom releases their fiscal report and everyone speculates how they're doomed and should sell MegaMan to Nintendo.
Sega Sammy is a powerhouse in the pachislot business... sure it's...
This is what happens when a company screws over their fans... canceling Mega Man titles, releasing Street Fighter x Tekken with 1/3 of the game as disc locked content, taking Resident Evil 6 in the totally wrong direction... turns out those are very costly mistakes. Personally I don't see them...
Regardless of if the system can actually run these games/engines... the fact that the companies don't even see it worthwhile to serious attempt a port is the real problem here. Anyway though I didn't mean to go so far off topic... this is a discussion about piracy on the system.
Well they are the ones who created the Frostbite engine... so yeah if they said they tried to run it on a platform and it didn't work, I'd tend to believe them. While I couldn't care less about COD and Battlefield... the absence of the latest entry in both series on the WiiU looks pretty bad...
According to Dice FB3 cannot run on WiiU and even FB2 couldn't run properly- https://twitter.com/repi/statuses/331549012022927360 that means the system is already losing the next Mass Effect and the next Dragon Age. We also already know there's not going to be a COD Ghosts for WiiU... not even a...
It's funny reading this news right after reading some news on how EA's Frostbyte 3 engine can't run on the WiiU and neither does Unreal Engine 4. In terms of big Western releases that really cripples the system. I guess people can still pirate first party games and jrpgs though.
If you traded a RGH which is modded for piracy for a Nintendo system that will likely be open to piracy in the near future... why would really care about what happens to these companies?
As for whether Nintendo will make it or not... of course they will. The Japanese market has shifted to...
patching working great for me running on dsmume... at first I thought it didn't work but then I just loaded the game from the in game save menu rather than by a save state.
confirmed working using dsmume... had to load the game from a save file rather than a save state to get exp to work.... but seems to be working fine now.
The reason why the JAP AP patch doesn't work on this release is because this is an incomplete dump.... it's missing the DSI content so the rom is smaller which gives you a checksum error when trying to apply the patch... so either someone will make an updated patch for this release or a proper...
So now you can't play online without a patch available through the Wii shopping channel... which requires a system update to access which kills soft mods... anyone figure out a solution to playing online?
I can confirm that the Bioshock release does work past the baby cry freeze. I had the Wiitard release using Neogamma and it would freeze... just burned the Bioshock version on a DL Memorex on 1x speed with CloneCD... works fine with Neogamma on a launch day Wii with a Wiikey 1... past the...
Soft modding makes more sense to me than to pay someone to rip out the chip and install a new one that the creators might just decide on not supporting anymore. I followed this guide and now it plays perfectly- http://www.youtube.com/user/HackMyWii
I'm enjoying my "faceship" Something about...
Okay I just tried the scrubbed version... ran it through brickblocker first. The title shows up in the disc menu but when I try to load the game I get the blue error #002 screen... so assume that this does not work on Wiikey 1 without soft modding... between this and Metroid I guess I should...
Ok I just tried this out and I can confirm this does not work with Wiikey 1... you get the error #002 blue screen. This is on a US system with the last Wiikey 1 firmware and no softmods.
I think what most people want to know is if it works on Wiikey 1 without a loader... for those of us that just skipped NSMB Wii... I'm gonna burn it and find out.
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
