i can't find a conclusive answer for this question: does USB loader 1.5 skip the update portion of a disc? will it prompt for an update for force update?
i need to make sure in order to try an NTSC game on my PAL console
I know gamma skipped it, don't know about USB loader though
most of what I do on the wii just involves me going striaght to HBC, I hear about preloader and yeah i'd like to install it. what i want to ask is:
-will it affect my ability to access the system menu at all? I mean whatever I know of preloader is just that it just autostarts homebrew channel...
i'm 99.9% sure of this:
it's 480p, not 420p. there is also zero reason for nintendo to intentionally gimp their system considering how bad 480p looks on a modern HDTVs. nintendo did not lock it at 720p, the 480p limit is because the hardware cannot deal with anything bigger than 480p.
the...
the GPU's framebuffer is only big enough for 480p screens so anything larger is just flat out impossible, there's no secret locking happening. besides even if the GPU actually had the resources to accomodate 720p it'll chug really bad outside of 480p lol. cool thing about emulators for 3D...
+1 for being poor. i'm a university student so money's a bit tight right now lol. some games like madworld i bought after pirating because i really liked it but most of the time i just dont feel like forking out the cash, yay for honesty
you were right about the corrupted .dol file. while i was playing around with homebrew browser i downloaded snes9xgx from there and it loaded just fine. thanks.
it seems to be only snes9xgx that is doing this, all my other apps load just fine. snes9xgx just gets stuck at 55% every time i load. no GC memory cards installed, just a USB hard disk in one of the USB ports and a GC controller hooked up.
this is trange. i tried 4.0.1 through homebrew channel but it always freezes when the progress bar for the load reaches 55% then i have to power off the wii by holding the power button. any ideas what's wrong?
bump, tried the just posted snes9xgx WAD and it does the exact same thing....just resets the wii
WAD installer says it installed fine and it comes up on the menu but everytime i try to access a newly installed wad it fails to open!
guys what could i possibly be missing that causes EVERY...
he said it *could* be added, although with marcan's stance on 'warez launchers' you will never see any of that from him.
for WBFS i just use the command line tool, no GUI. it hasn't given me any problems at all.
SD USB loader 1.5 functions 100% from the Homebrew Channel and i have no problem playing games from it. the latest cIOS from waninkoko's blog was installed, the problem is that i can't actually access the channel form the wii menu, i need to use homebrew channel everytime.
I have just tried "Gui USB loader" installation through wad manager 1.3 and the same thing happens, it just resets the wii. none of the loader .wads i have tried go anywhere they just reset the system when i try to start them.
i just patched troythezombie's USB loader 1.5 channel with free the wads.exe and reinstalled it, but it still makes the wii reset when i try to start it
