Off the bat, you'll notice that the individual components, the box full of pieces and the toolkit provided are exceptionally well crafted. The chair is formed of several easy-to-assemble components, that simply bolt together, or push-fit into place snugly and securely. Within what must have been 15 minutes of unpackaging the chair I had it fully assembled and was sitting very smugly atop my newest piece of furniture in my humble abode.
The Noblechairs Legend series is the latest in a line of incredibly tactile, hardwearing and precisely engineered seating that allows gamers to not only sit in comfort but avoid curvature of the spine thanks to orthopaedic level design choices and supplementary cushions and supports. The chair I received to review is the Legend series Black/White/Red gaming chair which comes complete with the headrest and a lumbar support pillow set.

Suitable for up to 150kg weight and 200cm in height the Legend series is big, burley and incredibly well crafted. The stitching throughout is flawless, the materials solid and well combined, and the base, gas lifter and wheels are fittingly robust and clearly built to last. The 4D armrests combine multidirectional customisation of height, width, and depth and feature a twistable angle that provides all the more comfortable for your naturally resting arm angles. In order to adjust these it is as simple as pressing a button in and manoeuvring the armrest to your preferred position.
Set up takes mere seconds and should you need to adjust it again, it's another quick seamless action to continue with the comfort. This chair also reclines from 90 degrees to 125 degrees, which isn't quite the recumbent 165 degrees of the Secretlabs 2020 gaming chair I reviewed a couple of years ago, but it's enough to recline comfortably for a movie or to put your feet up after a long day at work. The mechanism for this is snappy, and it feels like you're pulling up a parking brake on a car. The stitched bucket seat aesthetic paired with this looks and feels great when you're adjusting it.
Build into the backrest is a twistable-adjustable lumbar support that supplements the pillows, it's an odd thing to twist it and feel the support protrude beneath the surface of the leather, but it certainly makes a difference, and keeps your vertebrae aligned, preventing slouching, during longer sessions. I have been playing Assassins Creed Odyssey religiously recently, sometimes putting in upwards of 4-5 hours during any one sitting after a long day at work, and I can happily confirm that I have never felt more relaxed and more securely planted in a seat throughout.
Having given this chair a good 7-10 days of use I have noticed that my other far cheaper, temporary, gaming chair has now been cast to the wayside and will be repurposed in another room. This chair has massively exceeded my expectations and is my new weapon of choice going forward, it's simply THAT good!
Personally, I adore the level of comfort that the Legend Series offers. The movement on the 60mm casters is incredibly slick, and the panning, titling and twisting of the larger mechanisms are equally faultless and buttery-smooth. The 4D armrests provide a superb level of customisation, allowing you to not only cater for smaller users but also expand the chair slightly for larger people too, and the cold foam armrests never dimpled or felt uncomfortable throughout my slouchiest moments of testing.
In general, I found this chair ensured excellent posture-inducing positions when seated for long durations, I felt well supported in the lumbar and spinal regions, and movement across both my rug and hard floors was great and flowed far better than expected as I wheeled myself around my house to test the range of movement.
I don't think I could praise this chair any higher if I tried, as it is honestly as close to perfection as I could ever want. You truly get what you pay for in comparison to other cheaper brands and whilst people may yell otherwise: the fact remains that the difference is simply night and day between my old temporary £110-£150 chair and this £459.99 indulgent variant with high-quality vegan-friendly materials, rock-solid construction, reliable mechanisms, and 2-years' worth of peace of mind thanks to the standard warranty.
Sure, there is a high barrier to entry for the average person to want to splurge over four hundred pounds on one piece of furniture, but trust me if you can afford it you will never regret the decision to go for something as luxurious as the Legend series from Noblechairs. I may have to purchase a second chair soon to appease my wife, who also fully enjoyed using this chair whenever I was not looking!
