    Dragon Quest 8 was certainly a thing I was aware of but I didn't really get on board quick enough with it and I fell by the wayside. I played mostly the Monster games, Getting Joker 1 in early 2008, and waiting for what felt like an eternity for Joker 2 later in 2011. It wasnt until after I graduated college that I gave DQ4 as try.

    I played the first dragon quest (dragon warrior then) when it came out and loved it. But subsequent games didn't hold my attention. Then IX came out for the DS and I fell in love with the series again. Will give this new one a shot. Shame the unique 3ds version won't be localized.

    Burnout Paradise, while inferior to 3/Revenge, is still fun. That said, its really hard to follow a map while racing at +100mph

    I didn't even know shinies existed until ~2011. Sometimes I shudder when I think that I probably just blasted through 1 or 2 of them. I used to just tap a to grind - and not even look at the screen.

    1 was a game I played a crapton in my childhood, and I always feel happy when playing it, and TF felt like an amazing recreation of what made the series so good, even if Rare isn't working on it anymore.

    DKC1 is great, nothing against it. I just like DKC2 a bit more. I like 3 but haven't played it to completion and I don't think it is as good as the other two SNES games.
    I LOVED DKCR so much. I don't think its again, as good as any of the originals, but its certainly a worthy installment for the "modern" era. And I cant wait to play TF.

    I feel like 3 is the weakest one, maybe I just didn't like the other Kong though. DKCR is solid, and some of the remixes were great, it was a completely unexpected game that I never knew I needed. TF just hits all the right notes. So glad its coming to Switch.
