  • E3 was cancelled due to the pandemic, right?
    AkiraKurusu
Kinda, but not wholly the reason.
The pandemic did cause the 2020 and 2021 events to be cancelled, but the lack of interest in starting it up again - when publishers can just upload their individual reveal streams on YouTube - was the death knell.
    AkiraKurusu
The pandemic itself didn't kill it; it just made publishers aware how unnecessary a physical event is these days - the unneeded expense in booking venues, time slots, staff to attend and stuff, etc.
How are you guys able to remember programming languages?

So, programming is basically just a mix of human-friendly and computer-friendly way to express intent. Remember this, and your life gets much, MUCH easier if you need to program something. Just coding is not the entire part of it.
Oh, and use the tool you think is the best for the job.

I 100%'d all the story missions to unlock the finale in SA. I had a decent time with it, but it's rough around the edges all over the place. I never finished SA2, but it felt like Sonic Team put some serious effort into making the sequel leaner. I thoroughly enjoy this era of Sega for all its experimentation, quirky music, and flashy colors. (See: Jet Set Radio) I say give them a try.

Stupid? :rofl2: I’ve lost count of the stupid people on the Temp. Believe me though, you are not one of them.
My grandmother doesnt let me play most if not all videogames where there is remotely any violence, blood, swearing, and guns, and im with her most of the time, so the problem is worse

My parents were incredibly limiting when I was a kid. Arguably, that makes the child sneaky when it's not communicated well as to why they're banned from so many experiences their peers get to have.

I remember trying to tell my parents we needed an Xbox 360 for Netflix, and not for gaming. Because Xbox was evil. They got it for the ESPN app and Netflix, and I remember sneaking a copy of Assassin's Creed 2 onto it. I got caught and lied saying I was playing an Italian horse racing game.

At the end of the day, your grandma is just trying to do what's best for you, even if it seems crazy. A lot of media out there is genuinely bad for kids. There will be a time when you're older, and you'll be able to go back and experience all the cool stuff you missed out on, and by then, you might even have a greater appreciation for it.

Snippet of a Sega Genesis cover im making (I will add the percusions after everything else is done)

It seems like I have overcome my depression, but not really, most of the time I just (try to) ignore it and move on with my life.

    Ignoring an issue?

I deal with this on a near daily basis. And for me, it's not so much ignoring the issue, but taking whatever energy I can, when I can, to overcome it, even if just temporarily.

For me, ignoring it would imply I pretend my depression issues don't exist. Whereas in my case, I know full well they exist, all the damn time, but if I find a sudden burst of energy that I can harness to do what I've gotta do in the moment, I can briefly push it aside. Sometimes.
