    It's just a compilation of 3 already released games emulated onto the Switch, and you can get those same games for less than what you paid for.

    ngl the lack of free switch 2 patches is lacking. And the ones that do are arbitrary.

    - Splatoon 3: increased resolution/framerate/performance
    - Mario Odyssey: more background NPCs + res bump
    - Clubhouse Games: GameShare support added (no res patch)

    I'm sure it takes more work than that, but like I said, if work is being put in anyway, just have a free update that has solely the code patches required for higher resolutions and framerates, but without high-resolution assets or any extra content.

    It does need playtesting and QC, but given the relatively little added value, I guess new sales of these games would more than cover that. For the aforementioned examples, it's not like there's new content beyond the adjustments made.

    As for hires assets, for most modern games it's only a matter of re-encoding src material in a higher resolution as game studios nowadays don't easily lose their code base/materials.

    A lot of switch games exist on the used market meaning new sales won't likely result in a lot of additional revenue

    Beyond that if the game is good people will buy it patch or not

    Business people don't know anything about good games but they do know how to make money and I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseum and they came to the same conclusions

    so i got a switch 2. i guess my previous switch 1 console ban progressed to an account ban. i can still sign in online but it wont be linked to my new console lol

    despite everything.. I still wouldn't mind having a switch 2. I haven't had an unbanned console in like 7-8 years so being able to play with friends would be nice.. but they've probably moved on from the games I wanted to play with them

    Dynasty Warriors Origins is an incredible more focused Warriors game too if you have a system that can play it. If you're waiting on PC parts it's one I'd say to put on the wishlist for later.

    would love to do dailies in bed/portably at least.
    having to remote play on ps5 or dualboot on steam deck sucks (no xbox controller gyro)
    it would also be the only ARM port of STW if it isn't on the Windows on ARM port

    700 dollars Canadian for Switch2. I paid less than that for my steam deck. I get there's a bit of price/spec etc difference but is almost twice the price of an LCD Switch1 at MSRP.

    you're probably aware of my reason for not interacting with it anymore but if not, it's simply because I have lost respect for the community and it's developers. The only thing that's still making me hold onto it is the gameplay cause no other indie game I know has similar mechanics to it.
