Super gameboy? Wish it did not have to go back now. Bomberman on the SGB is one of my top versions of it.

I just want the Super Gameboy core to have the option to use GBC+SGB Borders, like most emulators do. That will be the definitive way to play.

Are you going to wait until it has released before playing it, or you playing the game straight away once you've installed it?

I've been playing it for about 4 hours. It's fun, but the battles and catching mechanics are a step backwards from Arceus. Not horrible by any means, just... Not as good... If that makes sense. Feels stiffer, can't run around during a battle, limited camera options, can't aim the PokeBall, can't aim throwing your Pokemon, etc.

Otherwise the game is fun so far. A few graphical glitches which I'm sure the day 1 patch will fix. I've noticed people's and Pokemon's eyes get hella dark for no reason sometimes, and the mountain wall textures will move when they shouldn't, like PS1 textures.

I updated my "Friend Code Trading Card" last night.

(The Teddy Band is just a low-key flex, but it was tough earning that bitch.)

All source images stolen from Nintendo's official Splatoon site without permission. The screenshot is my own.

It can, but only the shitty GBA ones, and maybe SNES Doom? Still shitty. If we ever get a DOSx86 core, then we can run the PC version "natively".

@HarveyHouston Google Drive links are not going to stand for much longer with ROMs and/or copyrighted materials, unlike some anonymous file sharing sites that do.

That's not good. I know of some guys who have archived stuff on there, and they wouldn't like for it to be deleted.

I got it from the well know rom site, downloaded using QBitTorrent with no issue.

The easiest way to clean up your soldering station, is with a lint roller. You're welcome. 😁

This is a really good advice, as I solder on the floor, and the sweep can't always get everything (especially flat solder splashes).

(my desk is not tall enough, which makes the floor slightly more comfortable (which it is really not, at all))

I have a desk with a giant rolled out piece of what feels like mousepad or something to protect the top of the desk from soldering stuff. And the lint roller is a life saver because my fingers can't always get the small stuff.

Just my opinion, but it feels like Alalogue is run by a single person, building systems by hand. That explains away the year-long waiting list. But feel free to change my mind. (They've been like this before the fake chip shortage too, btw.)

    Fake chip shortage?

Yep. There's no shortage of chips, you can find anything you want. You just have to pay greedy scalper prices, because they're being greedy assholes.

Just modded my cheap multimeter with a spare GBA battery I had laying around and a spare TP4056 I had. The output voltage is close to 6v, but it's good enough for this. I just hate 9 volt batteries with a passion.

I mean, does the charging circuit have a voltage regulator in it, or does it "directly" connect the battery? By "directly" I meant unmolested, without any PWM switching or any other nonsense like that.

Hi, the presition of the multimeter does get affected, as far I know the 9V is used as reference.

I guess I could throw a dc buck boost in there to bring it up from 6 volts to 9 volts, if it's that important.

They obviously cancelled the 2020 one, but then they cancelled the 2021 one as well for no reason, as everything else was finally opening back up. But this year is their first time back since COVID hit.
These silly "wrong picture to go along with the article" posts always crack me up. I'm sure it's a problem on Facebook's end though. Just funny to me. 😁

When you're a large online entity, you tend to post your content across many social media platforms to reach as many people as possible. I have Discord, GBAtemp, Facebook, YouTube, and an Instagram that I never use. And that's all I really need, but many people also use TikTok and other garbage apps/sites to extent their reach to more viewers.

I just submitted a cool new Gameboy tool that can batch-convert an entire folder of original GB ROMs to use the greyscale pallet by default.

    I call it:

Personally, I would prefer a tool to convert gbc roms to the original greenscale palette of the legendary DMG-001.😉

    Jayro
If I was able to, I'd set the pallet to the 3H pallet from the Super Gameboy. It's the perfect "DMG" shades of green and yellow.

At the bottom, in the blue box. It's my favorite one to use in Goomba Color, with the Gamma set to 2.

Got my copy of NieR:Automata today in the mail. It's a day late, but I'm glad it's finally in my hands. It even includes the DLC on the cartridge! This is the alternate cover featuring A2 on the front, and I love it! 🥰

It also came with a pre-order shirt! This is the design:
