I got this used Xbox 360 controller a while back, the A, B and R3 buttons didn't work, so I tried cleaning the circuit board and membranes and also trying a membrane from a working controller, but that didn't help. There doesn't seem to be any visible damage on the circuit board either, and since I'm not very knowledgeable with electronics I simply stored it away. Today I opened the controller again to try a couple thumbsticks that I bought recently, and since the controller was already open I once again tried to check what's wrong with it, so I plugged it to the PC and used a multimeter to check for continuity. While doing this I found out that whenever I touched the button with the multimeter it would register as a button press on the PC. After that I put the controller back together and to my surprise every button started working again, but after a while the A, B and R3 stopped working again.
Does anyone have an idea of what the problem with this controller might be?
