Hacking System Restore- Switch wont turn on

Hello all,

I tried to do a system restore on a modded switch which is on SXOS. I went into the settings menu, went through the system restore option assuming it would reboot but sadly the screen has stayed blank.

I have tried:
1- holding the power button for 10-12 seconds (i have also tried longer)
2- holding the power and plus and minus volume buttons
3- starting it with the team executor dongle in with the power and plus button
4- I have plugged it in to a PC and the PC makes the sound it usually does when a USB is connected indicating that it is on. If i hold the power and plus and minus buttons it also makes the sound it would make when removing a USB indicating it is turning off. I cant see it as a drive though.
5-holding the home button for extended periods.

I dont have any back ups of anything related to this switch (i bought it this way).

I have a feeling i now have a paper weight for life.

Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Are you being able to boot into SX-OS? Are you using a payload injector with payload.bin?
Why do want to make a system restore?

You don't have to keep pressing power. It will only turn your Switch off. Just put the dongle (or a USB cable with TegraRCMGui) and press the power button once while holding vol.+ button.

Also, the reason why your screen stayed black before rebooting, probably means you're with AutoRCM turned on. Are you using a jig?

In case you're using AutoRCM and you want to turn that off, do as I said above, then go to options and select to uninstall AutoRCM. I would recommend using it, but just after you understand how that works.

Thanks for your reply.

-It has a user account linked to the previous owner and the only way it would let me remove it was to format as it wanted to go online otherwise.

-I was only holding the power button as per hard reset instructions.

-I cannot boot into SX-OS at all. The screen does nothing.

-I do have a jig and i have tried turning it on with that in also and the screen is black still

Having said that. I have since tried your suggestion of TegraRCMGui and it loads up! You sir are an absolute superstar! I had some hiccups on the way but with a little fetling its all sorted. Thank you so so much! I really appreciate it.
