I have a cia that is getting stuck at the loading screen, presumably because I'm on a lower firmware. I do not wish to update my firmware, but instead prefer to modify that single cia file to drop its firmware version check. From what I've read I'm thinking I need to modify the Exheader somehow, but I'm getting confused beyond that point. Could someone please help me in the right direction? Thanks

Im pretty sure nothing of this kind exists. and there isnt really a need of it either. What keeps you from updating your console anyways?

Simply because the amount of effort updating everything to get one game to work wouldn't be worth it. And you know how it can be sometimes.. you do the 'simple' update, and then for some strange reason you are stuck troubleshooting some oddball problem for the rest of the day lol

Updating 3DS firmware is unproblematic as long as you have the latest Luma3DS version (or at least v9.1).

If you are afraid of any bad consequences: Create a NAND image before doing the update (on a known good SD).

Have fun!

It takes literally 5 minutes... much easier than what you are asking and extremely simple to do! Just follow this: https://3ds.hacks.guide/a9lh-to-b9s Then once done, simply update your system through system settings and you are all good to go!

Also, while it's actually possible to modify games to run on lower firmwares, you better not bother. There's a reason games need a specific FW version to run, modifying them to run on lower firmwares either makes them incredibly glitchy or just straight up corrupts them, on top of taking lots of work even for people who know what they are doing.

I'm considering updating.. even though I'm pretty sure 11.x firmware checks were all just anti piracy measures, at least I don't recall any new enhancements or game breaking bugs of properly spoofed games.

The glitches come from the "spoofing" as you keep calling it (even though it's nothing like spoofing), not from lacking a feature or something like that. And it's not AP either but too lazy to bother explaining...

Cool thanks. I couldn't verify anything, but the Internet's a big place. ;)
