Hacking Question Accidently updated Switch, can't seem to boot into new Atmosphere/Kosmos

While at an airport, I was changing games a little too fast and accidentally installed the newest update to the Switch OS. No problem I thought, I tried to install the new Atmosphere. I must have done something wrong as it wasn't working.

Following that I decided to pull the microsd and format it and restart from scratch. Problem is I can't seem to get the system to boot into CFW now.

I can get back into the Hekate Launcher via RCM and either using an RCM dongle or TegaraRCMGUI I can get into Hekate 4.10.1

If I select Launch

Shows up on the screen. Scrolling down to CFW and selecting it brings me to a screen that says;

Initializing....

Found pkg1 ('2019053115243')

Unknown pg1 version

Failed to launch firmware.

If instead I go to 'Payloads' and select 'Fusee-primary.bin'

'Welcome to Atmosphere-Fusee' and then goes to black screen.

I'm a little stuck on what's causing me not to be able to launch into CFW. Any tips or suggestions?
I do have my original switch nands and that backed up at home if I need them (I think ....)

Thanks for any help, I'm a bit lost.

You need latest Atmosphere (0.9.X) for 8.1.0, Kosmos has only old one (0.8.10). Hekate doesn’t work with new Atmosphere fusee-primary does.

I've installed the latest atmoshpere onto the SD card. And if I boot through Fusee-primary Atmosphere loads, but within 5-10 seconds I get an error screen;
Error Code: 2168-0002 (0x4a8)
Title: 420000000000010
Firmware: 8.1.0 (Atmosphere 0.9.1-master-3f7238cb)

An error occured......

I may try wiping the micro sd and just going off the newest atmosphere build and booting from Tegra to see how it works out.

Arghhhh! I am having the EXACT same issue too!

Installed Pedro.nsp it started to update, I panicked switch off and now every time I boot from RCM it goes to the Hektake menu config and I get the dreaded:

Found pkg1 ('2019053115243')

Unknown pg1 version

Failed to launch firmware.

Anyone found a fix? I have tried the latest Atmos/Kosmos files and no joy

For some reason after trying multiple times it just worked. Didnt black screen, really weird. To fix the pg1 error u need to use fusee primary.bin with tegrarcm.

Hekate hasn't been updated to work with 8.1.0 yet. Use the latest Atmosphere and fusee-primary.bin instead.

You need to download atmosphere-0.9.1-master-241b8f46, not 3f7238cb. It's currently on the release page. Redownload Atmosphere and try again.

Ok so this got me booted up back into the switch menu but now all NSPs give me the Could not start the software. Please try again from the HOME menu error

1- sdsetup
2- atmosphere-0.9.1-master-241b8f46+hbl-2.1+hbmenu-3.0.1.zip -> unzip and overwrite the sdsetup file
3- copy fusee-primary.bin in bootloader\payloads
4- ad ignature patch
5- TegaraRCMGUI with fusee-primary or hekate_ctcaer_4.10.1.bin

Remove all traces of Atmosphere from your SD card.
Download the latest versions of Atmosphere and fusee-primary.
Put Atmosphere onto your SD card.
Download the signature patches.
Add the signature patches to your SD card.
Launch with the latest fusee-primary.

Never had to add patches before - I take it Hetake usually comes bundled with them before?

Hekate comes with FS patches only. Kosmos includes FS patches and a download link for ES patches.

What makes you say no CFW? What's your full version string in your system settings?

If the above steps aren't working, then you're either not following the instructions properly, or there's more to the story you're not mentioning.

Version 8.1.0 (AMS 0.9.1) means you're running CFW.
