Hey all.
Recently I've been trying to play custom music off my Xbox hard drive in Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast. Because my disc drive doesn't support Cd-rs I've been using a program called XboxST to export wma music from my laptop to my xbox (I tried using Xbox Soundtrack manager but it didn't work very well).
The music all shows up and plays fine in the official Microsoft Dashboard, however in Outrun 2006 for some reason not all of my music was showing up. So I deleted all the music information on the hardrive and tried again, but now only 31 of my 36 soundtracks show up in the selection menu. Even stranger, two of the soundtracks (For Castlevania Rondo of Blood and Kirby's Air Ride) play at twice the speed they're supposed to. Furthermore, despite me naming every playlist, there are 2 options under the custom soundtrack menu that come up as blank and play no music. For the record, none of these problems happen on the official Microsoft Dashboard.
I have no clue what the problem is, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Just to add on a bit more to this plus a partial solution
I tested out Burnout Revenge which also supports custom soundtracks to see if that game had the same problems. In Burnout all the soundtracks show up and most of them play properly. But strangely enough it still had the problem of playing Rondo of Blood and Air Ride tracks at double speed (Again when playing these songs from the Microsoft Dash they play at the appropriate speed).
I also tried copying songs from a soundtrack that wasn't showing up in the menu to a soundtrack that was, and they actually played! So I guess the problem is that the developers of Outrun just never expected anyone to have more than 31 soundtracks? Still have no clue why some songs play at twice the speed though, any help with that would be nice.
Hopefully this helps out anyone with a similar question.

I ran a few more tests and figured I'd share my results here.
Outrun 2 will only ever recognize the first 31 soundtracks you create, all future soundtracks will show up as blank muted options in the soundtrack selection, or they'll be clones of previous soundtracks in the list. To be clear, this means that only the first 31 soundtracks you create on a fresh soundtrack save will ever be recognized, all future soundtracks created will not work. Let's say you have an xbox where all 31 soundtracks show up in game. There's an invisible counter on each soundtrack for whether it's the first soundtrack you've made or the hundredth, and only 1-31 will ever show up. All soundtracks you make after the 31st will never show up again in Outrun 2. The only way around this is to delete all music data on your xbox. Go to tdata, then under fffe0000 delete the folder titled music. This will also reset the invisible counter and you can create another 31 soundtracks which will show up in Outrun 2. Not sure if any other games have this problem.
I still have no clue why some music plays at double speed. It only effects certain tracks, not soundtracks as a whole, so I'm guessing I messed something up in the conversion process. Interestingly enough, I found some other songs that play at half speed instead of double speed. And again, none of these problems happen when playing the songs from the Xbox Dashboard.
