I was using 1.7.5 and the MUPEN-Next core worked fine. I updated to 1.7.6 and it's horrible for me (on SXOS). Someone suggested to try atmosphere and when I try to run it from atmos it crashes RA. Any ideas?
Works horrible on SXOS
Crashes on atmos...weird:huh:
dont use ra nsp, launch through hbl nsp

I've been using retroarch downloaded from the homebrew App Store then pressing r to load retroarch from hbmenu. Think it may just be easier to launch hekate and then atmosphere from sxos menu but no sure what atmosphere files I need.

I'm having an issue with Mupen64-Next. It only affects Mupen. All other cores work fine.

I start HBL using redirects in Atmosphere. I load Retroarch, load Mupen, and load content. It seems as though the first time I attempt to load content after first starting RA, content will load perfectly. Once I'm done playing and want to play a different N64 game, it will not load the content and only display "Failed to load content". If I exit out of RA and HBL and perform the steps to reload HBL/RA, I can then load a game again.

Likewise, if I attempt to load content before loading the core, it will always fail to load content.

No other core acts this way. Is this a known bug?

just restart retroarch from within it

I've tried that. It will still say "Failed to load content". I have to exit Retroarch, then exit HBL and close the redirected app/game. Then perform the whole operation again and load the game I wanted to play.

And I'll be damned if I can figure out how to swap discs using PBP files for PCSX. I'm trying to play Resident Evil 2 (Claire). I can get the Claire disc to show in the disc index, however selecting it and then selecting Restart just brings me to the BIOS screen that requests I insert a PlayStation disc. Selecting disk 2 in the index and selecting Resume just locks up Retroarch. I've tried creating an m3u file, but the same thing just happens when selecting the m3u file to play. Swapping discs either locks Retroarch or takes me to that BIOS screen.

Edit: I've just tried it with my bin/cue versions of Resident Evil 2. Same thing happens. I've tried creating an m3u file and just appending the Claire disc to the Leon disc. Swapping either takes me to the BIOS screen or locks up Retroarch. I'm starting to think it just isn't possible.

Yes. It works when there is a prompt to change discs (Final Fantasy games), but that doesn't happen on RE2. The best I could do was separate the discs using bin/cue files. I can play Claire's disc then. I've beaten both Leon and Claire's disc (scenario A for both) but now I need to load my save file and swap disc to play scenario B. But I can't because it just doesn't work.

go to the psx rearmed page first one on google and follow the instructions for multi disk games works fine with resident evil 2 both B scenarios

it often boots up into the bios but i find if you change disk in the load menu for the game then change disc, if you then press x the game will crash but if you then restart it will load the disc you changed it to perfectly every time dunno why just does

Trust me. I've done this.

Here I am loading the m3u file with both cue files in the m3u file:

Here it loaded Leon disc:

Here I am swapping discs:

Confirming disc swap and closing tray

It doesn't work and I don't know why.

For re2 you dont need to hotswap discs in order to play diff scenarios..the thing is that ra creates a separete memory card for each disc you play, thats why you cant load your save from leon a (disk 1) on claire disc. I have two disks in pbp format, and all you need to do to play claire b is to change your save file name for the claire disk, it works fine, i even tested it with 100% saves from google. Then if you want to play leon b, you just copy your claire a save and rename it to your leon disc name and it should load fine and let you play.

Using an m3u file should tell Retroarch to use one memory card for both discs.

However, I will definitely give this a try after work. It's the only thing I haven't tried.

I have tried this as well. I either get Retroarch locked up (I have to press home and then close my redirected game/app) or I get the BIOS screen.

Hi has anyone got Shadowman running and if they have could they tell me what settings they are using please, Ive got it running using the new settings which have recently been posted but every time I go into the retroarch options and then back into the game half of the screen disappears . This can be solved by never going into the options but that is not entirely practical , and sometimes I think the camera is playing catch up when the character is running.

Also I thought Donkey Kong 64 worked fine but after just testing it the camera doesn’t flow its constantly playing catch up, does anyone know what’s going on there. Other games are working beautifully for example SM64 Mario Kart and F1 Grand Prix . Many thanks for any help and insite you can offer .
