What does this even mean?

Put the cfg files in the retroarch folder. Overwrite the files but back up the originals.

Yeah, this thread is missing a lot of vital information.

M4XW specifically said there are no release notes, no support, nothing. This is not intended as a release. This is merely a super-alpha build he compiled and put up on his host and made a quick post. Its just a test build and future changes will be merged upstream with retroarch for a full official release.

He did confirm this uses hardware acceleration with the new libnx, and thats literally the only detail he is sharing.

After testing I can say that mario kart runs poorly, but mario 64 probably runs well as that one has much lower requirements. Also, you should know preformance wont really increase until there is a dynarec implementation. So don't hold your breath for a build next week! There's a bounty on the dynarec.

I actually can't even get it to run anymore lol. After trying mario kart, when I hit the home button it went to home screen but audio from MK kept playing. I had to force shut down the switch. Upon reboot, corrupted install. I was able to reinstall and launch, but it crashes upon selecting games to run, requiring a hard power off.

I updated my post on the first page with more information to help you run this if you desire to test. M4XW is well aware of all of the issues now however, and it needs quite a bit of work so I would just sit back and relax, enjoy a kit kat bar until we see some stability increases.

you obviously didn't do much testing, many games are playable and run at near full fps with minor audio issues

N64 needs to be installed from an nsp to allow for more RAM usage

Yes, I only tested Mario Kart. It is a higher requirement rom that tends to play choppy on other devices as well, so I was just curious how optimized the build was (answer, its not).

This probably shouldn't have been made into a separate thread.

This is a pre-release test core from RetroNX. No support will be provided for it whatsoever. It also requires a specific set of cfg files as well as the main retroach folder, which OP has omitted.
I've seen post for less....

SM64 runs smooth enough in the courtyard and inside the castle. In bobomb battelfield I get about 21FPS w/ choppy sound in areas with lots of action. Not enjoyable but it'll be good once it smoothens up

Updated the title, but would appreciate it if you added some more information if this is going to be a useful threat at all, OP.

I've provided 100% of the useful information. Why does OP need to? There's nothing more to add, the dev specifically has stated zero support, no info, other than what I provided on the ...4th post?

figured it'd be nice to have it edited into the initial post. getting folks in the habit of posting all relevant info on their initial post is a good goal in my book :P thanks for the info, by the way, it's appreciated.

Glide64 has been updated by m4xw with minor improvements, use the same link as in the OP to download. As usual, no support is provided for this whatsoever.
