There are ways to use 3rd character in Rampage, as well as other games with similar issues. If it is a big deal, I can better elaborate. If not, and you are fine with the first 2 characters, it isn't as big a deal:) I may also add a performance tweak to help Ninja Baseball Batman run a little better, as well. Did you get to try out Lunar Lander yet?
No, I haven't tried Lunar Lander out yet. I'll try it tomorrow, though. For the choosing the character thing...I know for some games, there were 2 player options where you could choose from all the characters. In Rampage, I only ever play the first two characters, so it's not a big deal....just wondered if there was a way to do it.

@KMFDManic
Hello from Germany :), your SNESC-Modifications looks great, but before using it I've some short questions.
Till now I used the standard Hakchi v.2.3 and it works perfect with USB storage support.
1.) Do all your hmods really not work with the normal hakchi ?
2.) What's the difference between normal and CE Version ? The CE Version hasn't been updated a long time in opposite to the normal version.
3.) Can I switch easily from normal to CE without losing my folders structure and other setting?
4.) Can't you release a pack for the normal version ? Because I'm actually already happy
but I want to use your updated mods, the better compatibility and especially the possibility to use frameskip and a MAME mod.

Thanks in advance :D

I stay with 2.30. The modded cores from the KMFDManic pack seem to work, I only can't install _km_mame2014_3_9_18.hmod.
At the moment I'm experimenting.
Why multiple MAME + FBA + SNES9X cores? Which one is the general best one ? It's not explained in the hakchi install text.
After I loaded the shader hqx the performance wasn't realy good. But how can I disable the shader ?

I lost my hakchi2 app with everything. I have kernel saved. Should I connect FTP with filezilla to snes mini to retrieve games or somehow else so I can sync it again? Is there some instruction for that?

I just tried Lunar Lander and it works great. As for Ninja Baseball Batman, should I explain the problem with it ? The sound is all stuttery and jerky. In between scenes, the transition jerks and stutters, but then seems to go at a normal speed. The sound is REALLY messed up when this happens. Also between scenes, there is a map that appears in a sort of waving motion. While this is happening, both sound and image jerk, like it's having trouble loading it. Once it loads, though, it SEEMS to play just fine, though the sound is still....odd.

**Thanks Ashpey for breaking through and pushing me to veer away from the Wall of Text:)**

**UPDATE 3-22-18**

Let's try something:

Bugfix for Performance Upgrade Tweaks:)

You can now load Elevator Action Returns, Demon Front, Outrunners, Stadium Cross, and the tweaks should trigger properly! Additionally, Outrunners & Stadium Cross will load full screen!!!

Feel free to request any other additional Arcade Games that have Performance issues, to look into fixing! I did an overhaul of the Core Set for better implementation with Hakchi2 CE! They are now currently much nicer, integration wise, with User Mods Tab!

I updated FBA 2016, MGBA, RetroArch:) Another Aspect Ratio Fix will be posted NEXT Update!

Canoe Borders are sometimes bugged, particularly on USB-HOST! Fix will be posted:)
Video recorded, as usual, to cover these few things:)

You can also see me go over how to generally fix "slow" load times on USB-HOST, if they occur:)

Enjoy the Update! Next up will be Tutorials for Sfrom Patching, Disk Switching, Code Making, and anything else you Guys and Gals let me know you'd like to see!!! I am still tweaking Atari Jaguar and a few other Sloooowwww Cores, in the meantime:)

**SNES Classic - Performance Upgrade Redux + Core Set Overhaul + Fix slow USB-HOST Load Times!!!**

**And, of course, the Update:)**

Thanks for the reply.I tried one more time with version 2.30 and again i had the C8 error. The only thing i didn't try is to install the 2.30 with an older version of RetroArch.
Anyway..I installed the version 2.21f and all works fine for me again.I didn't try the CE version because i haven't much free time to read what are the differences between the standard hachi 2 and the hachi 2 CE,and i want to know what i'm doing.
But yes,i will check the CE version when i can.
Thanks again.

If using 2.21f, you will likely NEED Hot Fix applied...It is in my Core Set, in Xtras, Hotfix folder, and video of it is here:)

Many Irem Games have always had issues with MAME 2003. MOST of them are now fixed with my recent MAME 2003 fixed version. Ninja Baseball Batman still has a little encryption that isn't easily fixed. But, I may work on boosting it, performance wise, to a degree. There is no way around the occasional slowdown and glitched sound, however, not for now at least.

Great, thanks. Should I uninstall the old moduls with hakchi first or just install the new ones ?
At your side is written in the Notes: These hmods are only compatible with Hakchi2 CE.
But they work fine with the normal 2.3. Is that perhaps an old information you could delete?
You are best using Hakchi2 CE. It is updated on a near daily basic at this point:) Yes, uninstall and delete old hmods first.

No big hurry or anything. Ninja Baseball Batman, even in it's current state, is very playable. The weird thing is the f'ed up audio and jerking between levels. The game, as I said, seems to work otherwise.

Great work on the MAME2003 tweaks, I can't wait to see what other games you do performance enhancements on. :yay:

One question about uninstalling/installing new hmods. I've always installed 1 hmod at a time, do we need to do that or can we install a bunch at once?

I remember in one of your videos you mentioned that some have to be installed individually, how do we know which ones to do that with?

Any possibilities of seeing Virtual Boy being worked on so we can use 3d? And maybe just toggle it on and off rather than messing with shaders all the time. (as a reminder, Virtual Boy with 3d shader only display one eye anyway)

The only ones to worry about individually are RetroArch FIRST, then, any Retro-Arch Add-Ons, should be installed separately:) Most notably FFMPEG, shaders, psp xtreme:)

Question about aspect ratio.
Normally RetroArch has the perfect ratio with "Core provided". But in Mame it doesn't work well on the SNES Classic.
I never get fullscreen with this setting. For example when I start Galaga88 it's 4:3 and looks horrible streched.
But with "Core provided" I don't get fullscreen, it's correct ratio but too small.

Question about saving the settings.
How? I can't see where I can save the "Core provided" setting as standard.
Going to "Configurations" and chose "Save Current/New configuration" doesn't work, starting again has the old settings :(

Thanks for helping

But there're no optimization for CE since Feb 2017. I can't believe that, there could be so many things for better handling. Will there once come another update?
Changing the commandline for every single game with isos or archives is a very bad handling, that would be easy to change.
Sure, for have 2-10 roms it's ok, but ot for huge collections like yours and mine, therefor Hakchi has really bad handling.

Dear Phoenix, you can either easily batch change the command line of each game with the sed (and grep) command in a terminal. Or you could put a symbolic link, create a hmod, on the console where you link /bin/iso to /bin/pcsx for example.

Or look here: https://gbatemp.net/index.php?posts/7731827
