Cooking timer ver0.1 released

Music playing alarm clock

Version 0.1 of Cooking timer has been posted over at Infantile Paralysiser's blog. It is a simple alarm clock that plays music when the timer is up.

DLDI patch and have either an mp3 file, an OGG file, a TTA file or SNES music able to be selected via the options menu.

lol, Infantile Paralyser (i think it's actually written like that rather than Paralysiser xD) is one of the most well known members in DS homebrew development (and I'm not what I'd call an expert on this issue

). Don't know what he does in his free time, or with his nephews xD

I actually missed school by 15 minutes this morning since I was playing DS and totally forgot about time...
But if you use this you can't play at the same time and you'll still miss school since you always play

I know the guy's behind Moonshell and other cool homebrew; I also know that weirdness, while not required, is a definite plus for skilled coders.

Yeah I'm downloading this, I usually use the timer on Wario Ware DS when boiling eggs but its annoying having to get it load up all the time.

Please, for the love of everyone who seriously cooks, just buy a standalone timer.

Better yet, cook by sight or temperature - time is a poor determiner in virtually all cases.

Do any of those Japanese Recipe DS Carts have built in timers? If not maybe those people who buy/use those things (I know I would probably) might find this handy, I know I would if I used my DS in the kitchen a lot.

My microwave is hardly on so its unplugged.

I do have to agree that it's weird that the guy that made moonshell doesn't make these kind of things as an add-on for moonshell, which would make sense. Imagine having some puzzle game add-ons in moonshell. You'd set a timer, play some puzzles, and when the timer hits, you go do whatever you're supposed to do at that time.
