I followed these steps

But there is one thing I did i should not have done: Once the Sys 9.2.0-20U was installed I wanted to import the games that were installed on my old reinand so i copied and pasted the content of one of the two folders inside the Nintendo 3DS folder at the root of the sd card into the other that contained no games (5a5e... = games) (2eff... = no games) and i forgot to make a backup of 2eff... before trying this stupid move. after I did that a few icons disappeared from the main menu.. so I said oups, i still could succeed in updating sys 9.2.0-20u to sys 11.6.0-39U

So basically Godmode works and i can install one .cia at the time on sysnand but FBI wont install .cia files and LUMA Updater fails.

I don't know if i could do someting once at sys 11.6 is it a cfw? is it luma3ds? can i go back to the old 9.2.0-20u original firmware a try again? If i remove the sd card the console wont power up.

I need help please

Do you have any game installed on your 3ds?
Also, check your SD Card with h2testw:
https://3ds.hacks.guide/h2testw-(windows)
I used to have hundreds of games installed on reinand but i tried updating it and it gave me a black screen of death and now im trying to restore it back or at least loose everything but be able to reinstall everything manually and be also able to play the latest game and use luma3ds

Can I do a format system memory? to get back the missing warning sign? would it be dangerous to lose godmode and such?

So you copied the content encrypted for your emunand into your sysnands folder. you shouldn't have done that.

you could have either moved emunand into sysnand if it was your main nand you play on.

or just boot emunand on luma when you need or want to. I'm guessing you can't boot your emunand no cause it's updated past what your reinand version supports? either boot the emunand through luma or update to reisix

I don't know if i actually succeded in getting into luma, when there is a SYS before the firmware version does that mean i'm in it? if not i'm missing a step

you have to enable that in the settings.
hold select on boot for the menu.
the only thing checked in the luma3ds v8.1.1 config menu is: show NAND or other string... should I check another one to be in cfw and be able to install .cia files?

If i use a new micro sd formatted in fat32 with nothing on it, do i need to create a emunand with some tool like gateway did or can i simply put the right files on it and it's no longer usefull

if it says Sys in config menu then that means you booted sysnand. you're done.

you can change SD card any time and just copy over the files. if you have an emunand and you want to keep it you need to use a tool to move it over since it's a hidden partition on the card and not a file.
emunand9 or decrypt9 or godmode9 can do this.

Well I did a few random things, like putting the 9.0 luma file at the root of the new sd with a few basic files like a starter kit for homebrew and such, and a new screen with luma 9.0 poped up asking me new options like auto boot cfw and installing cias or so, and i checked the logical ones and voila!!!
I succeeded i installing cias on FBI and also tried two titles that would not boot on reinand and they work, so what i'm doing now is copying all the content from my Nintendo 3DS sub sub sub folder to the new folder my blank sd created hoping that all the titles installed will show up. Fingers Crossed

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
