As for the game... the reviews in so far don't sound all that bad!

wtf the movie isn't released yet and the game is? :S

You have to think about it in a marketing perspective... they're promoting the crap out of the Shrek and Spidey3 movies, what better time than now to push the games... look around and you'll see those movie tie-ins everywhere, creating brand awareness, essentially free advertising for those games. And when mommy and daddy walk into your local game store and scan the aisles, what will they have in their heads... you got it.

The game has a great presentation, coupled with enjoyable combat and puzzles and good use of the touch screen.

A charming title that is fun, challenging, and perfect for the entire family. It mixes action and combat with a bit of puzzle solving and does a great job of promoting teamwork, an important value for the kids this game hopes to target.

Shrek the Third does a great job at capturing the feel of the Dreamworks picture by the same name. Whimsical music and sharp-witted writing are the highlights of the title, with the puzzle-centric action keeping adults entertained as well.

Those above reviewers must be getting paid by Activision to good good reviews. After the first 3 tedious levels I fount that this game is a big pile of crap. Its a total rip off of The Lost Vikings, which most licensed games are like nowadays. Thing about Lost Vikings that worked was that you had to use your brain, this game you dont. Moves very slowly and the backgrounds are the usual fake 3D crap we get on the DS.

The touchscreen is used to jump, attack, bash through things and it works but cant say I like it.

I agree those reviews must be paid off. Just like that PCWorld editor who quit after he got fed up of not being able to criticise his advertisers. I almost made it to level three and it's a pathetic game. I'm sure the movie will be awesome though.

Movie generated garbage the only thing that comes out on the gba.
Lets hope the ds does not die a death the same as the gba in this way.

Executive: ok the film is released in two weeks what can we do to generate more hype and cash at the same time well ripping people off with rushed and poorly made products.

Drone: lets make a game!!!!!

Executive: great idea Dorris start the programming

Dorris: I just clean here I have never used a computer

Executive: tough crap! your job description has miscellaneous written on it!

I think both movies were funny. Not all-time greatest movie ever, but its fun to watch.

As for these games based on movies, they usually suck hard.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
