I wouldn't know, I don't use my flascarts to play any gba games. But you're right, it is a potential problem. But it's obviously something that can be fixed with a firmware upgrade. With how often these teams update firmware, I'd be assured before a big problem arises, the update would be out in a matter of days to satisfy people.

Can you get racing gears advance to work?

I just tried Racing gear advance on my M3 CF and my flashed phat DS and it works just fine. Let"s put a stop to that non-sense. The GBA side has nothing to do with flashme. And what are those 2 supposed NDS game that dont work with flashme? i'd like to try them for myself...

I own 2 flashed DS-Lites.

Would like to know what these DS games are that don't work with a flashme'd DS too.
They were 534 and 535, the 2 puzzle games. Known issue but has what seems to be a pretty easy workaround of launching the games, get the two white screens, soft reset and then launch again, from what I hear. again, this was covered earlier on in this very thread.

As to the Racing Gears one, that may be more of a G6l issue. there are some that can not get it to work on the G6l and chalk it up to G6l compatibility, but it works fine on mine. Not enough people have tested it to really narrow down what is happening with that. the only common thread was that those with the G6l + a flashed DS had problems with it and the ones without did not. Wabo was able to get it to work fine but he was using the M3 CF so again this may be an issue with G6 + flashed DS. Not sure because not enough testing has been done.

Flashed DS Lite + G6L
Flashing was scary (shoulda seen me shaking) but I prepared neurotically (rolling paper sheath + toothpick with tin foil on the tip) and it ended up taking all of 15 seconds.
I keep Brain Games in slot 1 for the sleep issue, since that's the only game my wife'll play anyway.
Not having to see the Passcard 3/warning/DS menu screens every time I boot my DS is a definite plus.
The extra 10-20 minutes battery life seems insignificant until you need it and don't have a place to plug in.
I figure any major game that doesn't work with it will be dealt with in time by flashme upgrades.
Lastly, I'll thank tama mog and others on this board for giving me the confidence to go ahead and flash.
I don't regret it one iota.

I've been seeing battery life around 4 hours to 4.5 hours, what brightness level is that? I play on brightness level 2, it seems like I get less batter life with it. I'm still stock with m DS Lite, but my DS Phat seems to last forever+1.

Flashed.

No annoying spalsh screen from Passcard 3.
Free up slot for a commercial game.

I personally don't believe in the battery cut back thing from the passcard, but to some, this might be the third benefit.
