Hi.

I'm trying to make a DOCUMENT.DAT for FF VII from JPG files. Tried using PSPDocMakerGUI 0.21 but when I try to open the DAT file it says it's corrupt. The game I'm using is from PSN (all 3 discs in one EBOOT.PBP) I'm using PSP 2000 with 6.39 ME-9.2

Please help!

Thank you!

if I recall correctly, you need to name all of the images sequentially (eg. 0000.png, 0001.png, etc...) and put them into the same folder.

additionally, I believe that they need to be in .png format (not .jpg's). when I created one, I also made sure to size the images so that the width of the images was equal to the psp's screen resolution (480pxl) to maximize their visibility

I converted the files to PNG using ACDSee Photo Manager and resized them, but it still doesn't work. Any other ideas?

Any help is appreciated.

you've then copied it to the same directory as where the FF VII game title resides on your memory card, correct? the only other thing that I can think of is that the game code for the document.dat file does not match the game code for the FF VII game title

eg.
when I created my own copy of final fantasy tactics (both the eboot.pbp and the document.dat files from my original ps one disc and manual), I set the game code to SCUS94221. I'm not sure if there is a way for you to see what the game code is for your copy of FF VII, but it should be the same as the folder name that it's dumped into on your psp's memory stick under the \psp\game\ folder structure

You can't use custom Document.dat's with PSN content due to the way they're authenticated (which is why they're reading as corrupt) You'll need to use a text reader function in one of the various cheat devices if you want to see guides for PSN games (such as CWCheat)

Currently I have the whole FFVII guide in my Pictures folder, but I would like to be able to look at the guide without exiting from the game. Will I accomplish that with CWCheat?

Using custom DOCUMENT.DAT files with official PSN PS1 games is only possible with later Pro CFW (I think it was added sometime around B8 or B9). Please be sure you are on 6.xx Pro-B10 or you won't be able to use custom DOCUMENT.DATs with PSN eboots.
