personally back on the mega cd days i loved lunar 1 and 2, as well as the various ports, including the great gba one (imo).
this one doesn't seem to have been made by games arts, well at least there are several other company names mentioned on the box. i played it for just a very few mins, seemed pretty bad to me - and by looking at the scores it has been getting in reviews i didn't find the motivation to give it more chance. yet i'm a game arts / lunar fan, but as skarthebloodchild said, better staying away from this one i think -- unfortunately

i think the anwser is simple, called 'Marvellous Interactive Inc.'

btw the upcoming ys strategy is made by marvellous .. looks damn crappy, uhhhh

Not quite. Marvellous Interactive Inc. is merely the JP publisher (in conjunction with Atari in EU) while this was solely published by UbiSoft in NA.
Sad to say it, but this train-wreck was indeed developed by GameArts by most of the same people who did Lunar 1 and Lunar 2. Not sure how they managed to get so far off track with this one, but you can safely blame GA for it's crappiness.

Since game arts was bought buy enix and square they do only crap... ah almost true, but as good as their game are they are very limited compared to the old one (way too linear usually)... i remember in 1998 when they said to working designs "sorry none of the actual console can support lunar 3 and if it doesn't show up on dc soon you can expect it for the next gen"
well we are at the next next gen and we obtain this.... it's too bad to destroy such a legend of the rpg... euro version anyway and at least the title is in the spirit of the serie....
