Seriously, even though it's not the saddest game of history, the "umbrella" story is a bit sad.

Phoenix Right series are also sad, specially if you play all the three main games, and see how the story fits and end.

Nothing else cames into mind right now.

Mother 3 - It's for GBA, but EVEN SO. Great game, play it one way or another. :0

Phoenix Wright - Some pretty sad moments- also deserves a playthrough.

FFCC: Ring Of Fates - It was pretty sad.

I heard Time Hollow's sad too, haven't played it yet.

Kingdom Hearts was very sad and emotional - especially at the end.

Xion died

...the friendship of Roxas and Axel broke and in the end Roxas "lost" the final battle. Music was epic.
