as i went to uninnstall my winscp it said something about a random seed. what does that mean? and does that mean its torrent?
Blood Fetish said:WinSCP is a Windows client for Secure Copy. It is a method of transferring files (FTP) wrapped in an SSH tunnel for encryption.
When it mentions seed it is most likely talking about generating a key pair for your computer for use in the key-exchange process.
In short, not BitTorrent.
Blood Fetish said:It is a client, not a server, so it will not allow people access to your machine. That being said, if you are not looking to securely transfer files then it is probably not something you need.
This. Normally the program may ask you to move the mouse around erratically to help ensure a random key.Holaitsme said:A seed can mean a string of random characters used for encryption purposes.
