K. I've been rockin' a PS3 for the past year.
Love the mess out of it.

But I'd like a compliment, so I can do cross-game voicechat. And then there's some games I'd like to play. Not alot, but there's some.

But, even at a $300 price point, I'd still have to buy it's $50 LIVE service. And a $4 HDMI cable (since the price dropped ones won't come with it. Poo! Oh well. It's just 4 dolla.) Then if I wanted legit games, that'd be even more money. I, a mere college student, who'll maybe be able to work 10-15 hours a week, will have a hard time buying both PS3 (curse you Sony, for getting on top of your piracy problem) and 360 games. Though that controller.... Weird feelin'.

But I do believe I could afford some Dual-Layer DVDs.

But, these new elites.
Hackable?

Also, I've heard through the grapevine that I can get wifi on my 360 with the old XBOX wifi-adapter. That costs about 70 dollars less than the 360 one.

A pirates plight for me!

As far as I know, ALL 360s are now hackable at the moment.

Lite-ons take a bit more work, but if youre willing to go the extra, its worth it.

Or if you want to spoof a samsung drive you can do that too and replace it.

So far any xbox can be flashed. The newer ones need a special program to extract the key but that's it. I font think I'd go the modchip route for a 360 though

modchip isnt needed for any 360, you can all flash them with software only!

for the liteon you need some extra tools but still no modchip needed.

Yes, $50 a year for the live service.... But hey, you get the first month free. Anyway ALL xbox360s are hackable at this moment. Don't go for a modchip, as flashing will suffice.

Here is the pack of dl dvds I always buy. Remember, only +R works.

I don't think you can use an xbox1 wifi adapter for the 360. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

No offence but why are you suckers paying $50 for live? pre paid codes on sale anyone?

I mean sure, they might not be on sale NOW but places do sell them cheap, there are plenty of people on ebay who have legitimate 12 month +1 codes for much less than the price of live through microsoft.

Seriously some people are just too lazy.

Also on a side note: don't hard mods lead to a swift LIVE ban?

Hard-mods are notorious for a quick ban but they are not generally used for actually playing of games. Many are used by hackers that are attmpting to make exploits and such.

Some people would prefer buying them with a credit card and/or not wanting to wait for a sale. Also some people don't care about saving money. You shouldn't call people lazy in general. I think you meant too lazy to find a sale.

Link credit card to paypal, job done.

If people don't want to save money thats their issue, gotta be spent some how, however others happily sit there letting it tap away and when they have a new credit card and don't swap the account details over microsoft suspend their account and then they come bitching, that or they bitch at it being 50 dollars a year. Some people don't even realise there are pre paid cards.

If people don't want to save then fine, but for the people who sit there complaining its 50bux then they only have themselves to blame for being too lazy to do a bit of browsing.

And yes I did mean too lazy to find a sale or shop around for a prepaid code.

@Bloodgod liteon I took the other day:

Benq is somewhat standard flashing methods and can probably be done with the same tools. Still another guide (the de facto guide for most 360 flashing activities:

I doubt you will get a benq (the 7 series liteon has been around for a year now give or take) although if you buy an elite you will probably get a 7 series (8 is now out and becoming common but nobody buys the elite model really so it will probably be an older drive).

I do agree on one point. People SHOULDN'T complain about $50 for live when you can find it for much cheaper.

Do you know if the 60GB Pro's that came with the Kung Fu panda have the Lite on or the BenQ? AFAIK, they look the same and I don't feel like taking off my faceplate to check the wire color.

EDIT: Never mind, I just checked I have the yellow wire, so I have the LiteOn drive. Is that one the easier or the harder one to flash?
