I didn't know the movie was that maligned.

If anything, it barely exists in the consciousness of the human mind at this point. The Shorts, at least on American TV, has dominated the CGI-laden children movie market and any Aliens in the Attic commercial can just be confused with that.

So, basically you haven't tried it...

Anyway, it's actually a fairly competent game. Kind of Contra meets Castlevania and uber dumbed down, but the mechanics work well. It's lackluster, sure, but it's not "shitty" by any means.

Yeah, I think it's using the same game engine we've seen quite a few times this summer for licensed games.

It's the same ol' "Your characters have unlimited ammo and grenades and you switch between three of them that have special abilities" game. I tried it and deleted it, but if you are desperate for platforming, it's a lot like Night at the Museum 2.

I'm sold at Contra meets Castlevania, but I almost closed the window at uber dumbed down =(

Based on that, I might actually give this a try.

Ugh! It keeps locking up on the final boss. I'm not sure if it's a glitch or some kind of anti-piracy thing. Every time I shoot this explosive box, I hear this sinister laugh, and then the game locks up. Not sure what to think.

EDIT: Never mind. I beat it. Kind of a tough boss(es).

Based on a movie or not, this game is actually pretty good. Probably will be over quick, but a fun romp while it lasts.

I'll likely blast through it to the end.

If it wasn't for what irpacynot said about it, I probably would have skipped right over it. He was pretty spot-on in his assessment.

Kudos irpacynot!

Sounds a lot like The Incredibles DS game...

Trust me when I say, forget about the movie, forget this game has anything to do with movie tie-ins and give it a go. If you have a flashcart, it's not like it will cost you anything to try it and you might even find it fun. For what it is, it's surprisingly good.

Okay, I'll try it.
