Hopefully others will adapt from his work to allow using that against his will.
Hopefully if he does someone else uses AI to recreate it. Someone less petty than him.
less respectable people like Grim.

So Grim dismissing Stealth servers is just plain stupid and also in extremely bad faith. I'm glad someone chose to leak modified builds of his software with DashLaunch support.
I've always felt that opinionated developers gatekeeping based on their own wrong ideas about ethics and morality was shitty and terrible.
People are right to be upset when he slandered a huge chunk of the community on his public platform.
He'll hose whatever respect he still has with the others who are cheering him on.
Doesn't make me actually think any better of you. Just lets me know that you're an openly shitty person. Have a good one bud
I'll end the discussion here as I don't want this thread to devolve into just flaming each other, but it's clear you are
also an openly shitty person too. Since the beginning of the thread up until your most recent post, you were only speaking negatively:
- Making assumptions about someone's intentions even though they made it clear there are technical reasons behind said decisions.
- Openly speaking positively about people leaking something that they were asked not to leak because it might harm their consoles.
- Saying he "slandered" a huge chunk of the community "on his public platform" (do you know what slander is?)
- Claiming the arguments are in bad faith
- Implying he's not a respectable person
- Saying he's petty
- Encouraging people do things with the software "against his will"
There's opportunity for nuanced discussion and speaking about what you want to happen. You don't need to be so salty and can voice disappointment with features you want not being delivered. He said he'd work on an officially supported plugin system, but dashlaunch is off the table for TECHNICAL reasons.
"After looking at all the different plugins people are using, they basically fall in to one of three categories: so-called 'stealth services', game-specific plugins, or 'other'. As far as stealth services go, there's no chance I'm going to help you steal access so you can cheat in online videogames. If that's all you want to use the soft mod for, don't even bother installing it and stick to other methods of hacking the console"
Stealing access to Xbox LIVE (a paid service which attempts to prevent modified consoles from accessing its network, per its terms of service) and cheating are two primary functions of stealth services. Some people might have paid Xbox LIVE subscriptions and wish to take their consoles online with legal backups of their consoles. The two groups may use the same software for different purposes, but the same end-goal: getting on Xbox LIVE. This isn't slander, or even speaking negatively about stealth users in general. Directly supporting efforts of getting modified on Xbox LIVE is a non-goal.
At the end of the day he has been explicitly transparent about his goals, what you get, and what you don't get.
Don't like it? Don't use the soft mod, and use the existing ways that work. That's what he said.
As I said before: you can get on Xbox LIVE even with the soft mod. Stealth servers will certainly adapt.
Surely over the 17 years of homebrew development, someone else has developed an exploit method/homebrew feature/application that you can use in its place with BadAvatar and the consoles you have on-hand? Oh wait, I forgot... to my point earlier, nobody actually cares about homebrew in this console scene and Grim is once again disrupting the status quo -- just like in the PS2 scene.
