Getting a black screen when trying to boot any GameCube or Wii game with core version 0.0.6 and tico version 0.7.7.

Nevermind, it just took an extremely long time to boot the first time.

It just overclocks automatically whenever you select the dolphin core, so you don't have to go to sys-clk to change values manually.
That's cool, but based on My version of switch ( I have the V1 model Erista ) and
Using the basic SysClk setup I'm not sure it would help? aAs far as I know the standard limits are:

  • CPU max: 1785 MHz
  • GPU max: 921 MHz
  • RAM: 1600 MHz

Same limits apply to tico. Right under the option to enable the dolphin core, there's a message saying that the core will automatically overclock the CPU to 1785 MHz.

What's New
New PlayStation Core
Tico now ships with Tico DuckStation, replacing SwanStation as the default PlayStation emulator. Built on the GPL-licensed era of DuckStation, it features the deko3D graphics renderer for improved performance and rendering quality on Nintendo Switch while maintaining full integration with the Tico ecosystem.

You can install Tico DuckStation through the Tico Core Download Manager or download it manually from the release page:

Dolphin Core Improvements
The Dolphin core has received a new update focused on improving the Wii experience and controller usability:

Fixed the Wii System Memory Corrupted / Error reading or writing Wii System Memory issue affecting WiiWare titles and games such as PokéPark. Special thanks to @NaGaa95 for helping identify and fix the issue.
Added a first-launch tip explaining the available Wii controller modes, along with a shortcut to the Quick Menu.
Mapped the left analog stick to the D-Pad in Handheld and Dual Joy-Con modes when using the Horizontal Wii Remote controller layout.
Added initial touchscreen support for emulating the Wii Remote pointer.
You can update Dolphin Core v0.0.8 through the Tico Core Download Manager or download it manually from the release page:

Now castlevania and contra rebirth work. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

CV rebirth I noticed slowdowns in specific areas. I overclocked the cpu above 2k and it improved, but it's still not perfect. Hopefully it will be possible to improve performance in the future. Very happy indeed with this update.

It says to put cpu at 70%. I do agree that not everything there can be trusted as working though. Wind waker, unless something changed shouldn’t be on the list as working. If you have to go to the extreme in over clocking, I will not count it as working. I know there are people that don’t mind doing that but I feel like that eventually we’re going to hear about people burning their switch’s or something breaking. I’m waiting on an update that just makes things work with no over clocking or lowering it to a minimum.

But what about over clocking for saturn, would that boost really hurnt your switch's systems?

I had always thought overcloking on less demanding games was fine it's the heavy stuff like gamecube/Wii that would cause trouble?

Here's my playtesting report since the 0.7.8 update (I use an overclocked V1 Switch), hope you'll find anything useful here :

- Every disc game crashes on first startup. There's just a black screen, I have to go back to the Switch main menu and quit and restart tico. The second time I load a game it works.
- Worms World Party on Dreamcast makes tico crash after the intro movie.
- Gamecube version of Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO - Millionaire Fighting 2001 (E) doesn't load.
- F-Zero GX reboots after choosing the car.
- Wario World (E) runs at a default strechted 16/9 ratio for some reason, it's possible to force it back to 4/3 in the settings.
- the latest Saturn update turns on the skip bios option, and it causes games to be stuck at a black screen on boot. It's still possible to get it running by opening a savestate. The problem is solved by turning off the skip bios option.
- D-Xhird on Saturn still crashes right before starting a fight.
- Fire Emblem Echoes - Shadow Of Valentia is running unsusually slow compared to other 3DS games.
- My Nintendo Picross - Zelda Twilight Princess doesn't seem to boot at all, there's just a black screen.

I love the new menu layout options, keep up the good work ! I really hope to see DS and PS2 cores added in the future, it's really convenient to have emulators combined into one single homebrew, I'm not fond of having to remember different hotkeys for each one for example.
