On a V1 Switch, Wii U emulation isn't really going to work very well. Anything beyond most 3ds/some ps2/some GameCube/Wii games the V1 isn't powerful enough.
Dude, the exact same words were spoken years ago when people asked for PSP, Android, Gamecube etc.

Never stop believing in the talent of all these guys. I'm happily playing Resident Evil Survivor 2 on the PS2 emulator, it works around 90% Back in the day, that would have looked like a joke.

Let's hope things keep improving!!!

Well I finally got duck tales, since my switch was on 33%, it was running slow till I plugged in power adapter. I have sys clk oc settings, for this I guess I don’t need horizon oc. Not sure I really need to use full clock settings but I don’t really care because I can now play this on my switch v1, I’m guessing it will slow down on a certain percentage if not plugged in charging.

I will say it does take 1-2 minutes to load up though. Maybe I need a higher oc for that or my sd card is the issue for being less than 2gb right now.

Ok I’m sure the answer is not possible but I’m just going to ask, is there a way to allow the switch to use a hard drive without being docked.
Usually you can't connect drive directly as it must be detected as OTG device and with usb-c on both sides that's a lottery. You can do that by connecting to Switch compatible hub or OTG adapter like this

And you connect drive through it.

ai isnt nessasarily a bad thing but its better to fully know the codebase and such for mantainability. also it will never be open source, dan has told people who would like source code / more openness in general to and i quote "suck a **** and die", he has also called me in general a ****** (idk if i can say them while adhering to fourm rules)
I can only agree with Dan, you are a plague in the switch community get out of this thread if you are only here to cry and be toxic like you always do, you are free to rebuild it with any open source nvk available

Gamepad screen will be supported on the next release :

I know OLED, for example, has a more power efficient processor, but it's basically the same otherwise.

It helps with heat and improving battery usage. But that's it. Shouldn't it work the same, only get more hot and waste more battery? I always just assumed that. Maybe if we take overclocking into account, you could mean V1 can't do higher clock speeds because of how hot it gets.

Overclocked to 2600/1300/3100.

In *The Wind Waker HD*,
The first island runs at a stable FPS.

But there is a massive FPS drop on the second island.

Lowering the emulation and graphics settings doesn't seem to fix the issue.

Where increased heat comes from? From increased voltage. Both Erista and Mariko have similar voltage limits, BUT Mariko is more energy efficient which means you can get more performance from the same voltage.

So yeah, there is a big difference - Erista operates on higher voltages by default and each voltage increase gives you less than on Mariko, until you hit a physical wall that will result in instability and eventually frying your hardware.
