And all of that is neural networks and genetic algorithms running on local machines, not LLMs running in datacenters. The future of functional AI is in new dedicated hardware and not in LLMs.

I can promise you with a high degree of confidence that integrated AI tools use data centers for their back end and do not run locally. If you’re speaking strictly about scientific study you may be right, but that applies to people in white coats, not the gearheads. Things that are really down to earth such as designing and machining a part are not going to use dedicated hardware, the task is outsourced.
