Thank you so much for this incredible work!

I don't believe Vulkan is available through Switch Mesa, but even if it was it would perform worse than the current backend does since it (Deko3D) is custom built exactly for the Switch and it's GPU. OpenGL also isn't supported for the same reason as it's not worth my time to get worse performance out of the renderer. Will Vulkan be integrated? Is it possible?
Based on how other games run, not well, but give me a bit and I can run them and see what happens.Thank you so much for this incredible work!

Interesting. I've never had it not detect either of my BIOS' before. As long as it's in /switch/armsx2/bios it should work. Or I believe you can point it to a custom location too if you want to try that. (I also think I left a debug flag in the ini that allows for setting a BIOS file in there that is force used, but I may have taken that out?) It'd be a BIOS= line somewhere in there.Cool project!
I tried it but for some reason I can't make it read any BIOS, it doesn't detect them in the bios folder (I tried many). I'd love to try Pro Evolution Soccer 6![]()

What's wrong with it exactly? Those messages are normal since fastmem doesn't work on Switch and never will and the renderer should always be hardware. The game appears to still be loading though?A simple game doesn’t wok

The game load and run very slowly. Ppsspp work ok ,dusklight okWhat's wrong with it exactly? Those messages are normal since fastmem doesn't work on Switch and never will and the renderer should always be hardware. The game appears to still be loading though?
Yeah, performance is really not great on this despite my best efforts. The Switch already has to do extra hacks to get JIT to work, alongside not having some optimisations that upstream has due to Horizon lacking features. I'm both impressed and annoyed with how it runs currently. Thanks again for your work on this. I gave "Let’s Make a Soccer Team!" a try (no overclock). I expected it to run more or less fine since it’s listed as perfectly emulated on PCSX2, and I thought the 2D parts might be light enough for the Nintendo Switch. The menus run great as long as there’s no 3D being rendered (like the secretary), but once I get into the simulated matches (even with the 2D field, which I assumed would be lightweight) it drops to around 4 FPS and becomes pretty much unplayable, I guess single core performance of the CPU is not good enough (at least without overclock) for simulating the matches.
Really fun to play with this, thank you so much again
I was working on that recently actually, but stopped for some reason. I don't remember why at the moment. However, I'm actively working on a different project that should hopefully improve the performance and accuracy of thishttps://github.com/ARMSX2/ARMSX2/releases/tag/2.5.1
How about porting ARMSX2 Refresh to the switch ?
How large was the overclock? Do you think Klonoa 2 will boot with this version?A new update just released with version 2.0.0. It can be gotten from here: https://github.com/PalindromicBreadLoaf/ARMSX2-NX/releases/tag/v2.0.0
This brings about a brand new Vulkan renderer that greatly improves accuracy of graphics, and sometimes is more performant than the existing Deko3D backend. Other times it's slower, so it really depends per-game. Vulkan fixes a lot of the present rendering issues, except for Steambot Chronicles. That's got to be some sort of CPU issue possibly also existing upstream. I played through Persona 4 for a good while at basically full speed the whole time with no graphical issues (also with a large overclock).
There's also some changes to the Deko3D backend too, but they're minor enhancements at best.
Hope you all enjoy!
I doubt it. Nothing on the CPU side was changed. I am working on ARMSX2-refresh currently, which has a bunch of CPU improvements, so that may get it booting. Overclock was 2091/921/1700.How large was the overclock? Do you think Klonoa 2 will boot with this version?
