There are some grapefruits that aren't too bitter. You can also mix them with another fruit, like orange, lemon, etc. Also I think you can also add a pinch of salt to soften the bitterness

thats interesting. ill have to try that someday, when im not on medication.

PSA: Grapefruit juice inhibits your bodies ability to flush out your meds/drugs, you can literally kill yourself due to an overdose with a glass full of grapefruit juice, please be careful!

Yeah, just a pinch of salt cuts the bitterness, but I’ll admit I never actually do it

Damn, I didn't know that. I just checked and it's completely true. Thanks for the heads-up

yeah, i ALWAYS say that whenever someone mentions grapefruit.
its shocking how many people have lost their lives over something so seemingly harmless.

No one that takes anti-depressants or anti-psychotics, just for example, should ever drink any meaningful amounts of grapefruit juice. heart meds, painkillers etc etc.
Whoever reads this or finds this via google: if you take medication and want to try grapefruit juice make sure to ask your doctor or at least google it thoroughly! no juice is worth dying for.

Grapefruit juice? What the hell?

That was a very unexpected piece of information, thank you very much, I have a hunch this will be one of these random pieces of knowledge that become very important for me at some point in the future.

then take this as well: One of the deadliest medications ever is not what youd expect. Its Paracetamol. Never ever overdose it, not even by a little bit. You develop liver failure of a timespan of only a few days with no symptoms at all the first day and it WILL kill you dead. Paracetamol is one of the most dangerous over-the-counter medications ever made. The difference between a normal dose and a deadly overdose is MINIMAL. Because there are no symptoms at all the first day most people would never make the connection, which delays treatment and while an effective antidote DOES exist... it needs to be taken promptly without delay.

It's questionable whether Paracetamol even works as a painkiller in the first place.

Ive never taken it, i might be allergic. I remember my mother telling me not to, apparently something bad happened when i was a kid. Havent thought about it in a long time.
I wish she was still around so i could ask her...
Me and my friends went to the "Friedwald" today, a forest as a burial site.
I picked a tree for her today. I hope she would have liked it.

Normally, they're prescribed by doctors, but even when they are, it’s very important to read the leaflet before taking medication

Wow ok, I hope there are some warnings or prevention before you buy. I might sound a bit harsh, but it’s also up to people to be responsible enough to read the leaflet before taking any medication. In my mind, getting medication has always meant seeing a doctor first. For instance, here in France, you can't buy paracetamol on Amazon at all. It's crazy to see how much it differs from country to country.

i have been in pain before and have definitely taken more than i was supposed to just to make it stop, so i get it.
Pain is a harsh motivator.
