Though I agree, that's a matter of opinion. Whether or not you or me "defended" Biden's "dementia" isn't. That's a stated fact, it's a blatant lie and it's easily checked because everything we wrote on these forums is searchable.

I get the feeling certain folks are throwing everything on a point system, that all events are equal in value in their push of whataboutisms. "Well, <x> did this" as if it's equal to what <y> did. It simply doesn't work that way. Nor does one good deed cancel out one bad deed.

Meh...I expected people throwing up "but Biden..." when I created this thread. I'm willing to discuss why their comparison is flawed (and it's not because Biden was at the top of his game at the end of his term). I'm not willing to discuss people who think they can change the past and pretend we said stuff we didn't say.

On the topic: he's an old man. Everyone who ever had a grandpa that old knows that they are not the sharpest in that age any longer, and they constantly nap away on their chairs. You know: usually that would be ok. It's the way it is. However, a guy in that shape should never be the president of anything., let alone the USA.

I think yesterday, he said he was launching additional "self-defense" strikes against multiple targets in Iran. Self-defense? Against an obliterated military? Strikes launched from US soil to the other side of the globe?

For folks actually thinking that TDS refers to people who are negative about Trump and MAGA like it's a disease, then they would have to admit that Trump has ODS by pushing this sort of thing. They can't have it both ways. But one thing is for sure. Trump is obsessed with Obama.

All of these side projects like the reflecting pool, the ballroom, redoing the interior of the white house in gaudy gold, the arch of defeat, etc. are all a coping mechanism for him.

He KNOWS he's a failure as a president, so he backtracks to what he thinks he's good at (construction). Unfortunately for him, he's terrible at that as well, and just keeps on failing.

Devils advocate: how is it stupid if there aren't any consequences? Obama can't sue for defamation because no reasonable man believes this, but at the same time it serves as a daily distraction from the many real scandals.

In the short-term, there aren't any real consequences. Long-term, it further erodes his credibility among people with even the slightest capability of critical thinking.

In the end this will just be another short paragraph in the history books of how Trump chose to do something pointless, overpaid, failed, and then blamed someone else for the failure.
 
And now, they are pouring hydrogen peroxide in to the reflecting pool to try and kill the algae. Numerous problems with this.

1. In order for it to effectively work, they need to have it 50 parts per million, which would be at least 8k liters.
2. Hydrogen Peroxide breaks down over time in direct sunlight and when in contact with other components, making even that amount less effective.
3. Such components include the paint job they just did.
4. The reflecting pool drains into the nearby Tidal Basin, which is an inlet of the Potemic River.
