Gaming Hello, Does anyone know a good switch dock other than that huge thing that comes with nintendo

Want something that doesnt scrape the screen but can just plugin, Some say they are for switch 2 but they have USB C to HDMI i would think it fit but idk.

I have spent alot on retro consoles lately aswell as upgrading their hard drives to SSD, Would need something good but not too pricey, List all alternatives anyway.

The cheapest option would be to just get a screen protector or put a couple of adhesive felt pads inside the dock. I haven't used any third party docks since I've heard that some of them can brick the console, but I've used a few Mayflash products for years without issues, so their dock might be worth getting.

There are shells that let you install the guts of an official dock in a much smaller footprint. This guarantees compatibility, and isn't expensive if you already have a donor dock, but requires a bit of time and effort to put together.

edit: I like the ExtremeRate AiryDocky kit for the OLED dock, as that one routes all the ports to the back.

i installed my original dock in a much more compact housing. most of the original dock is just plastic.
I know that a bunch of Dock replacements killed peoples Switches dead a few years ago, so using an a new case for an original dock might be the safest and cheapest route.
You just remove the board from the old dock and install it in the new housing, its nice and easy.

Thanks guys for the advices, Yeah my former switch from 2017 died and the cost of fixing it was the same as buying a brand new mint condition V1 so i bit the sour apple, RIP saves, Oh well im a patient guy, Now i did have docks but the USB C always break no matter how careful i am, I did have screen protector but need new one since ripping from the old one would break it.

Now something sturdy give me alternatives

Also no dead switch pls

I have something similar but by a brand called Jemdo, no issues so far and I can use it on both Switch 1 and 2
