It's summer gaming events season and XBOX held its showcase yesterday. It featured both first- and third-party titles. Notably, XBOX's new CEO, Asha Sharma, announced that some first-party games will be XBOX-console exclusives. Below is a recap of the announcements.

First-party announcements:
  • Gears of War: E-Day - launching August 6 on XBOX Series X|S, XBOX on PC, cloud, included with Game Pass, and is XBOX Play Anywhere. An XBOX console exclusive.
  • Halo: Campaign Evolved - the remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s campaign, launching July 28 on Steam, XBOX and PS5.
  • Fable - launching February 23, 2027 on XBOX, Steam and PS5.
  • DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations - new campaign expansion launching July 7.
  • Senua - third installment in Ninja Theory's franchise. Launching 2027 on XBOX, Steam and PS5.
  • Spyro: A Realm Beyond - the first original Spyro game in nearly 20 years. Launching Spring 2027 on XBOX, Steam, PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
  • Minecraft Dungeons II - launching September 29 on XBOX, Steam, PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
  • State of Decay 3 - coming in 2027 to XBOX, Steam and PS5.
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 - trailer for the new Extraction Experience, DMZ. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches October 23.
  • Clockwork Revolution - inXile entertainment’s steampunk RPG coming 2027. An XBOX console exclusive.
Third-party announcements
  • Bad Magpie - debut title from indie studio Milktooth arriving in 2027
  • Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse - 2D action-exploration game from KONAMI, Evil Empire, and Motion Twin launching October 15.
  • Crazy Taxi: World Tour - an all-new installment of SEGA’s classic driving action series set to launch in 2027.
  • JOIN US - an action/survival cult simulator, launching March 2027.
  • Magicians: The Devil’s Deal - a narrative-driven first-person action game set in a reimagined version of Victorian London. Launching in 2027.
  • METRO 2039 - first gameplay trailer; launching February 2027.
  • Persona 6 announced and Persona 4 Revival available to pre-order
  • Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy - prequel in the Plague Tale sage, launching August 27.
  • Valor Mortis - first-person Soulslike arrives September 24.
  • Vivarium - anime-inspired adventure, arriving in 2027.
  • Where Winds Meet - free-to-play Wuxia open-world ARPG debuts on XBOX.
  • Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember - action-RPG announced, coming early 2027.
New updates for live games:
  • Age of Empires IV - Raiders of the North expansion launching later this year.
  • The Elder Scrolls Online - Season One arrives July 8 with an all-new Thieves Guild storyline.
  • Fallout 76 - gets free Infestations update.
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 - adds US National Parks and National Championship Air Races
During the event, the XBOX Series X25 Limited Edition console and the XBOX Controller X25 Special Edition were also announced for a November 2026 launch.

Sure is nice to see a real Crazy Taxi game after so many years.



The realistic ish graphics will take some getting used to.
 
I'm already so pissed at their Microslop BS. Perfectly working legit login password gets rejected and demanding I give them whatever verification they want just so I can play a game I bought and have played long ago, disabling it outta nowhere just so they can farm data. I'd say they can just rot away with whatever they release
