Why don't you wait until the console cycle is OVER, before you start to assault the consumer base with your exploits and cheating? I like homebrew. I'm all for it, but usually we only used to mod consoles after they stopped being actively supported, didn't we? Because then it's about preservation, but when you hijack the console that's still supporting games you buy from the official store that still hasn't been Jim Ryan'd, you should seriously support the closed ecosystem before you wanna show off what a hacker you are.

At that point I think some of you are just being cruel to consumers and the people earning their salary over at Sony.

Please wait, is all I can ask.

Homebrew has been on consoles even after they've came out; exploited and released on physicals even. If exploits didn't exist then the community wouldn't be as more open. If you don't like people pirating games, then why not you develop something built from an SDK that's been reverse engineered, free of copyrighted libraries, and took years to develop for? People have a right to do whatever they desire to their consoles; if a console is essentially a computer, you can tweak it.

PS5 would essentially be EoL right now based on the standard console cycle. PS6 rumors and speculation are everywhere, Sony wasted the whole generation on live service slop. They killed Japan Studio and Bluepoint for nothing. However many exploiters there are, it's not nearly as many as they deserve.

I dont know what OP is talking about. PS1, OG XBOX, dreamcast, and alot of other legacy systems have been modded for homebrew early on in their lifecycles.

homebrew is one of the few ways to get rid of always online forced focus in modern consoles. there are alot of people who dont use these exploits for piracy but to remove the forced data theft of modern consoles.

To me the cycle is already over since Sonys f0king new DRM which I will be highly affected. One of my friends nearby had no internet connection still for 2 months and I had that too some time ago.

I played Sonic Racing online with my code I still had and was still valid after 3 years. I still have a half year left, but I don't care. I'm on 13.00 now and took the console offline.

Though I don't have a Series X, hopefully the Switch 2 port of 007 light will not disappoint if a Switch 2 port will come.

I can buy it on my PS5 if it doesn't require over 13.00. But let's see.

That and Age Verification. I agree.
I've changed my mind completely since I made the original post, just due to the policy changes in the meantime. I've done a 180, and I no longer meant anything I said.

Fuck Sony. I encourage all types of jailbreaking, and honestly we're owed as much as we can get away with. Let's have at them!
