I bought the Epicjoy and it works great, the label isn't as pretty as the Phenom Mod (the one you'll see most commonly recommended), and the color options for the cartridge itself are more limited, but Phenom Mod is always on backorder, so I didn't really have a whole lot of options. I don't really see the benefit in the Kaico unless you can get it for a good price on sale, it's more expensive for the same thing. Some people will tell you that Phenom Mod are the only ones that make them "to spec" but I have not seen much evidence of that still being true (if it was ever true), and the Epicjoy comes with the reset button too these days, so I don't put much trust in that.

Was $51 a few days ago on aliexpress, now $72.

If I'm paying that much, probably better to buy on Amazon. Anything I get on Amazon that has a problem, I can just return it to the Kohl's store in my town.

Update: the Kaico cart became available again at Amazon, so I bought one.

Save states (Memories) were added in the last update back in May. The A3D is finally starting to feel like a feature complete device.
They just need to work on universal controller support with button mapping and deadzone adjustment, as well as built in firmware updating for 8bitdo controllers.

They need WiFi enabled to let you update controllers and firmware without a pc.

The fact screenshots still aren’t a thing really annoys me.
